Why not remove Cinderella's Castle

Freeing some center park land is a great idea, tear it down and replace with one of the tiny castles to appease the castle lovers then run into the speedway to make a mega land that brings the entire "Disney Vault" IPs to life throughout the new land.......
Just think if they reduced it to the size of Disneylands' that would free up 140 vertical feet of visual space for fireworks.

Fireworks have no ROI, they have people staring at the sky and not in the Emporium buying plush. Bye bye, anyway the launches will be totaled by the new land expansions

These days, with modern Disney, I cringe at every announcement they make because their announcements just mean replacing beloved attractions. Splash Mountain gets an inferior ride in its place, Snow White gets a meet and greet in its place, Country Bears becomes watered down. And now they literally replace possibly the best land in the Magic Kingdom? They are tearing out the heart of Frontierland. There is something to be said about riding in a Liberty Belle Riverboat. It was the quiet, the slower pace, the escape from crowds, etc. Ditto Tom Sawyer Island. I really don't think modern Disney "gets" what Frontierland is suppose to be. It is literally suppose to be a blast from the past. That's the point. With all of the space they have in Magic Kingdom this is a horrible decision. How does Universal continue to get better and Disney continue to get worse?
Well, if it’s any consolation, they DID take Jaws out…

I would definitely be against removing Cinderella’s castle. This castle is like a historical landmark that deserves preservation. It is very iconic to Magic Kingdom and is one of the landmarks as well and a classic. Cinderella’s castle should be here to stay.

I used to joke about them retheming Cinderella Castle. As a JOKE. They've crossed a line though with removing RoA and TSI. So now I literally have NO IDEA what they are capable of.
They have rethemed the castle multiple times over the years, including this:

Better books have come out since Walt’s time. Let’s be glad we never got Twilight island.

Quite a claim.
Twain works were already classic by the time Walt was a boy and going in 50 years old. Itnis not like a Potter situation. They were bot of Walt's time as much as stories actually written in and of the time of the end of the Frontier era of America.

And when you make a statement like thst and reference twilight...yikes.

And as someone who is a literature teacher I would make strong cases the list of anything better is quite short.

One could say better theme parks have been built since Walt's time, but likewise, the list is select and short.

It should be removed. The artist who created the castle's mosaics was previously one of the most-respected interrogators of Allied POWs in the Nazi Luftwaffe.

This castle is thus, certainly, "problematic." Which is the word I see certain people parroting to defend paving over Rivers of America. So there you have it. It's problematic. Therefore, no reasonable discussion is allowed.

Pave it over so there is no trace of this sordid history. Thanks.

Sorry, I thought the Twilight joke was obvious enough without an emoji.

One crucial variable I think you forget is that the Twilight books feature both vampires AND werewolves (literary genius), whereas the work of Twain merely features humans (passé).

That moat and that grass is taking up allot of retail space, the castle has to go I think it should be a Toy Story rocket launch site. And this light parade makes my blood boil. All the casting and money they have to throw in to it they should at least raise the prices. But honestly a bad busyness move was not making the castle on a full scale and every square inch functional for attractions even if its just interactive and places for visitors to explore. I full scale castle between retail, and other experiences would be a cash cow.
