Why Hollywood Studios is being rebuilt

One Little Spark...
Its an upwards helix... or thats how I've heard it described. (AKA the part that makes me want to black out and die)
That is not a corkscrew. A corkscrew is quite a different track layout. There is one (maybe two?) on RnR.

And, I'd actually expect it to be a downward helix, as nothing is propelling you there except gravity. Though, I don't have a track layout handy and am too lazy to look one up.

Doesnt matter, its the part that makes me wanna die. We all are familiar with that backwards segment. Call it what you will, its disturbingly unpleasant.

It's the only coaster I've ever been on that can make me a bit queasy, and it's precisely at that point. Particularly if I am not really well hydrated for some reason. I get the effect it's supposed to have (track ahead of you out! - man what an original idea, LOL) but it keeps me from doing it repeatedly. Yet, I could sit on RnR 3x for three rides in a row without getting up no issue (and I have before LOL).

Everest does not go upside down. It's a backwards helix in the dark that makes you want to die.

RnRC has three inversions. Two right after the launch in a derivation of a cobra roll and the a roll over cork screw later in the attraction.

I'd hate to see you guys on a real coaster... ;)

Why is it that RnRC doesn't bother me a bit and the Everest backwards helix-whatever puts me close to blackout? My fighter pilot brother-in-law thinks it's just disorientation from going backwards. The engineer in me says that 'edge of blackout' feature is planned.

That's what's funny, I've never been on one of those mega-one-on-a-continent ones, but I have been on a lot of pretty decent ones. It's not that it scares me or anything, haha - it's the backwards thing. I've even been on fully backwards coasters that haven't bothered me, but the forward and then backward and then forward again just does something in my tummy LOL.

It's like how Star Tours and Body Wars were the same exact ride system, but I could ride Star Tours all day but the motion in Body Wars just made me want to...well, I'm eating a slice of pizza right now so I don't want to describe that. ;)

Interesting. I never realized that part bothered so many people, especially to the point of nearly blacking out. It's just "okay, going backwards now" to me. Although, I'm that person that can ride any roller coaster, but I even look at a spinning teacup and :hungover:.

Disney coasters are GREAT........for little girls and grandmas. :D

Now, if you want a kick in the pants here in Central FL, I just rode Falcon's Fury (drop tower) a couple of times last week. Oh my, that's a ride!
