Cannot believe this story! If it had been a player who was hit the other guy would be sitting in jail as we speak. What is wrong with people these days! How can this be seen as funny? I don't know maybe it's just me...I don't see the humor in any of this.

ps.careship...have some chocolate for me.

I could hardly believe it this morning when I saw this news item out of Wisconsin, and I had to come back and post it here. It includes a video clip, and it is just incredible to see a grown man, a professional baseball player, take a bat to a costumed character. It was even worse to learn that the costume was worn by a teenage girl.

Here is a link to the story:

At least the Milwaukee police took the incident seriously.

Hehehehe we've been talking about this earlier. We were all pretty ticked off about it.

Yeah, i just noticed it. Oooops.....

However the local Radio station is going to have a pinata of the baseball player and going to allow fans to whack that pregame....

OMG!!!! What fun would that be? What irks me still is that idiot was allowed to finish the game.

Give them all a whack--overpaid so-and-so s.

Considering some of the abuse that is heaped on some baseball players when they are the visiting team (not to mention actual flying objects), wouldn't you think they'd have some sympathy. Oh, well, they are not hired for their smarts, after all.

BTW: looking up Fox listing on account of blondeness--best laugh I've had in weeks! Thanks, careship! I gotta love people who have no trouble poking fun at themselves.

Well, I figure if you can't laugh at yourself, you're too uptight. Mind you, I hope my hubby doesn't see it, he'll never let me live it down. I still have problems with him near post offices.

I dunno why mkt, but I saw two kids attack King Louie right inside the gates of AK and it really toasted my buns! What was worse the parents were standing there laughing and getting it on video!

People are stupid, that is my reasoning.

There you go..... They start early...
It's a lack of respect...and parents do NOTHING about it..

And as they grow up, so does their lack of respect...
Parents agree...so... :(

It's the same as, like breaking, stealing, someone elses property, that seems to be cool too

It sounds old fashion, "It's the sign of the times"

Ok... You asked for it...

Don't you think that's a rather STUPID remark??

I think there's an apoligy to be made here...

If you hate them, DON'T (my god, don't) go to the parks..

How about this one?

At a local swimming pool, lifeguards repeatedly told a group of teenagers (13-15) to stop jumping into the pool, as it was against the rules. After the kids kept jumping in, one lifeguard went into the pool and dragged one of the kids out. Suddenly, about 20 kids were attacking the three lifeguards, while dozens more were cheering them on. What the (expletive deleted) is going on in this world????? :fork: :fork: :fork: :fork:

Oh, and all Simon got for swinging at the sausage character was a $432 fine. No jail time, no suspension, no nothing. What's that fine, about 1 inning's salary? And baseball players are kids' heroes, right? On the local news tonight, they interviewed kids and adults at a local minor leage game. The kids were saying that they thought it was hilarious and they kept laughing at it. The adult said that it was all in fun and shouldn't be a big deal.

Attention: The United States is the Roman Empire of the 21st Century, and its fall is imminent. We've already got the bread and circuses, and there's not much else we need at this point for a trigger....

Unless, of course, we learn from history. Nah, that's too much work! We don't put in any extra effort here!

Feh. I'm just fed up and disgusted.... :fork: :fork:

It's a strange world we live in. We reward those who won't work with free money and food. We penalize those that work hard and succeed with heavy taxes to pay for the free money and food. We glorify athletes that can't speak straight with multi-million dollar contracts to play sports. We treat the court system like a casino because we sue over stupid stuff (is there anyone in the world that really thought McDonalds' coffee wasn't hot?). Kids today are being raised with the expection that the world owes them something.

Lord, help me to raise my child better than that.
