I figure it's approx. 50 bucks to get into a park. If you smack 10 characters per visit, that's 5 bucks a pop. along with all the rides and shows, that makes for a serious return on investment!

I'm going in 2 weeks. too bad christopher robbins is never around...might be tempted to body slam that guy!

And thus, a shining example of humanity in today's youth. And people wonder why tigers eat their young......

This wasn't funny by any stretch of the imagination.

you need an imagination...

...to be able to stretch it.

Just because you didn't think it was funny, maybe someone else did?

With such a harsh topic, I tried to inject a little humor break.
Is that so wrong? Personally the idea of someone whacking a disney character, to me, is beyond comprehension. My freinds sure thought my post was funny. and so did I. Even if it's not your sense of humor (whatever that may be) understand I did it with good intentions.

Lighten up chief.

I thought it was funny, but I also posted about beating up Barney.

I knew he was kidding from the start; there are very few people who would have posted that one being serious and lived to tell about it.

Re: you need an imagination...

[Edited for better taste]

While i understand the absurdity of your joke, i just dont see someone getting jumped by teenagers to be funny. Maybe smeared with jello pudding, but not jumped.

I dunno why mkt, but I saw two kids attack King Louie right inside the gates of AK and it really toasted my buns! What was worse the parents were standing there laughing and getting it on video!

People are stupid, that is my reasoning.

The same thing happened at AK during the parade a few weeks ago. They detained the teenage boys who attacked King Louie. I believe Orange County showed up shortly after.:sohappy:

Never even knew this happened, most people do not make their kids mind.alot of adults are raising little monsters that nobody will like.make your kids mind and have manners.I being a former Marine I enforce rules,my kids know that if they do not behave they will pay for it.I make them do jumping jacks, mountain climbers, ect untill they cannot move.I have never spanked them but they know about punishment.parents are affraid to punish kids.make them behave now or someday a judge will punish them.everyone says to us,your kids are good we dont have to worry when we take them somewhere.and thats because I dont mess around.parents,if you Love your kids make them Behave.

Just a suggestion for abusive people

If caught and they would be, "the Disney eyes" hehehe. Escort them off property with no refund. See how funny parents think it is when they can't get their trip refunded because they have let junior become a terror. I honestly believe if parents had to be held financially accountable for their children's actions a lot of misdeeds would cease. I have 3 DS's and 1 DD and if they ever abused a person that way, it would be a very quick and dark trip home for all of us. We follow that sometimes it rains on the just and the unjust policy at our house. It helps them police each other.:animwink: Plus and this is a side rant. My husband and I grew up in totally different childhoods than our kids. Our children while not spoiled have a lot of privileges that many children even here in the land of plenty never experience. We make sure they realize how fortunate they are. We also encourage them to count all blessings even those we all take for granted every day.

It's all about the lack of parenting in America, trying to be a friend and not a parent, which results in the overall lacking or dumbing down of morals in America.

I wrote a 16 page I-Search paper on parenting senior year ofHS, and the new wave of parenting these days stink!! Let's be happy we have had decent to excellent parents.

It's called discipline, more than a talking to, and I am fprever glad I got all of it and more!!!!

Must be the heat

I read through this thread yesterday and feel the same as everyone else--why anyone would be moved to attack a character, I cannot imagine. I didn't post because I had nothing of substance to add.

I could hardly believe it this morning when I saw this news item out of Wisconsin, and I had to come back and post it here. It includes a video clip, and it is just incredible to see a grown man, a professional baseball player, take a bat to a costumed character. It was even worse to learn that the costume was worn by a teenage girl.

Here is a link to the story:

At least the Milwaukee police took the incident seriously.

I am totally disgusted and enraged. That was beyond anything I could ever imagined. EVen if the girl wasn't seriously injured, it doesn't matter. The fact that Simon was allowed to finish the game is pathetic. They know from their own home stadiums that these are usually kids. Teens are still kids when it comes to doing something like that. I hope they do prosecute him in Milwaukee and the MLB association had better punish him as well. What if she had been only 16 (not that it's any different) and was seriously injured?

I just get too angry to go on.

That was a horrible story I hope they throw the book at that moron.
How can anyone do something like that, and now with him being sort of a role model you can count on many copycat incidents.

BTW WAS HIS BAT CORKED. J/K :D
