I can't say that I have ever met anyone from here at WDW, BUT... one of my best friends husbands started posting on this board last year. I recognized him immediately but I still don't think he ever put two and two together! Haha! It makes me laugh when he tries to act like he knows some news about WDW that I don't since I know where he gets his info!

We would love to meet some WDWmagic-folks during our next stay there, we have time in nearly abundance with 16 full days at the world, perhaps even find some new friends. It's years (no actually DECADES ago; jesus I am old...) that I had American friends (exchange students at my school) and we really would like to meet some people who share our passion for WDW, in Germany there are not many WDW-fans.

I would love to meet you Spike! While in the Army I spent 2 1/2 years stationed in Kaiserslautern, Oct 61 to Apr 64. I made several trips into Berlin both on duty and on leave. I loved the city. It would be very interesting to visit now and to see Checkpoint Charlie without the wall.

Checkpoint Charlie has changed completely. There was in the early 90ies a huge project for that area and before the investor went bankrupt three of the five buildings were already completed but the two quarters directly alongside the former wall have never been built. It's called now "Business Center Checkpoint Charlie". CC is however still a big tourist location, on an average day it is crowded with hundreds of tourists taking pictures in front of a fake "checkpoint hut" with fake soldiers.
How long are you staying? We are at the World from September 27th to October 13th. Yes only another 25 days and if I wouldn't have developed a fear of flying I already would be in pre-heaven.

A short trip this time, we're there Sept 10 to the 17th. This was a spur of the moment trip. I got a diagnosis of a return of my cancer, I had surgery in July and I'm cancer free again, when the doctor told me my biopsy was positive I said to my wife, "screw it let's go to Disney" and we're on our way. This will be our third trip in 12 months but what better place to celebrate our good health?

I hope we get a chance to meet in the future.

OMG. I am so glad that you recovered and are free of cancer again! I know exactly how you must feel, my GF (that beautiful blonde next to me in my avatar) had cancer too. She had heavy surgery (at the age of 28) five years ago and it took more than two years for her to recover. Since her cancer she want's to spend as much of her life at the most magic place on earth known to her, Disney World, because it was the first place where she finally found back to her spirit of life and had fun again. You see we have a lot in common.
Sad however that we will not meet this time but we will be back next year, we will be AP holders this time and we will do at least another trip in the next 12 months before it expires.

I'll be there 11/12-11/19 - but to meet up I would have to actually admit to my husband that I spend most waking hours chatting about Disney with total strangers (since my family has no interest in listening to me yammer!!).

I'll be the grown woman with the giant Mickey Mouse ponytail holder in my hair - or I suppose one of the THOUSANDS that fit that description!

Lol Ill keep a look-out. nonetheless have a great time!

Cynic, we'll be in EPCOT on the 11th. I'll be wearing the same hat that I have on in my profile picture. Both my wife and I will be using EVCs.

Thank you for the thank you. I am proud to have served.

We'll be there Sept. 10th to 17th and in the parks the 11th to 16th. We'll both be in ECV's (if you have a problem with that I'll be happy to show you the scars from my hip surgery and my cancer surgeries). I'm easy to spot 6'4" and 250 lbs and I wear a dessert camo hat that says Army Veteran. Come over and say hi.

I will be in the World at this point as well. I will be sure to say hello if I see around the parks!

You just might be able to find me "TOMORROW", but prepare for your group of "PEOPLE" to be "MOVED" when you see me. You'll know it's me by my Disney trivia knowledge.
