Who plans your Disney vacation?

I do both!!! I plan my client's trips and have as much or as little input as they need. Many people just like to know that someone is keeping up on any available discount watching and for me to handle just that side of it. Either way is fine, all of us here at the office understand planning is a big part of the fun, but do have a lot of experience so we can be asked questions if/when they come up!! Marie

I book the rooms & dinner reservations and my wife takes care of the FP+ and scheduled events. It's a team effort between us.
My wife and I are the same. I'll call and get the hotel reservation booked as well as any ADRs. We will talk about which restaurants to dine at, but I'm the one who actually goes online and makes the reservation. I leave the FP stuff to her.

We know too much about Disney to let someone else do it. Now if we were going skiing or to some island resort...I'd be going through a travel agent.

I do it all, since I'm also the one who pays for it. If I let others plan it, we'd end up with either a resort for the wrong days (yes, my DD actually did that), the wrong resort, no resort, an ADR for days we were NOT at WDW (yes, she did that too, lol), etc. Since someone in my traveling party has also forgotten to pack important things, like underwear, I'm making sure everything is done properly. :D

I think what you said here really hits the nail on the head: "We know too much about Disney to let someone else do it."
I think that if you're someone who goes all the time or knows a lot about Disney and what you want then it's very easy to plan yourself, however, if you're on the opposite side of the fence and you know nothing about Disney and you don't go often it might be beneficial to use the help of a vacation planner.

Well said!

I usually do the planning and sometimes catch hell for it. Like visiting a beautiful beach resort in '12 when we were in Italy and not bringing our swimsuits. But I do most of the research for WDW and that goes pretty well. Everyone picks a restaurant and then I always try to incorporate one or two new places to try.
