Who knows what Tink gets paid to fly?

Ok this is what I was told by a relative in Florida who has friends whos daughter did/does the Tink drops during Wishes. They get $4000 a drop BUT they have to pay for their own insurance rider Disney does not insure them. So I Imagine after taxes and the insurance it's only a couple hundred o drop. Also there are always like three or four young women casted to do the drops.

Im sorry but I dont believe this post. Can you please explain why your girlfriend would be approached during a parade for a job offer as tink? like someone else said, if the offer was made why are you asking an internet message board? sound like a bunch of BS to me.

Thats what I was told that wasn't a typo. Also if your paying your own insurance I would think after the taxes and payments it would only be a couple hundred you actually walk away with.

When my Mom and I went on Keys to the Kingdom on December 29th (which was amazing by the way), our tour guide said that right now, there are 2 Tinks. The main Tink is a 2nd grade teacher that just comes over every night (when shes working), works for "about 20 minutes" (basically...not that long) and goes home. Thinking that she gets a full 8 hours salary and a hazard bonus, thats a really nice pay for about three minutes of performing (and also having a full time job). The really great thing is that none of her kids know (of course), so it's really gratifying that your students can come see you and be amazed like that by your "secret identity."

Not enough money for me or my wife...harness or no harness.

If I wasn't a man and didn't weigh 1.5 times the maximum wight and if I wasn't 1.5 times the maximum height, I'd want to be Tink.

Lot's of money. Lots of people that love you. Going down a zipline everynight.

Pff. That's unfair

Height and Weight only I am sure Tink can be guy. Disney would not care.

Really though I think pixies do not need money.
They get everything they require from magic and all they require is that you believe.

That is true....Tink can be a guy, but how many 4' 10" 100 lb. guys are you going to find?

Well, put me in an elephant costume, give me a feather, and I'll fly down as Dumbo.

By the way, considering taxes, traffic hassles, cancellations due to weather, the prohibition against weight gain, the constant threat of upch__________g, the difficulty/inability to obtain reasonable insurance (health and/or life), the costuming time, etc . . . is it really the type of job you want to retire to? This works out to about $100,000 a year, which most good Doctors, lawyers, Accountants and engineers can aspire to.

Moral of the story, stay in school.

By the way, what does the spinning lady at Festival of the Lion King, the La Nouba acrobats, and the stilt people at the Jammin' Jungle Parade get paid? Dangerous? Yes. Well-paid? I doubt it. Able to do the Tink job? Probably.

If you're a doctor or a lawyer and "only" making $100K/year...you're not very good.

The bird lady in FOTLK and the acrobats are in a different category then the stilt walkers at MJJP.

You mentioned the above and then mentioned later that this was not a typo! I think that you may have double typo'd yourself there. I am definitely having trouble believing that Tink makes 4000 per drop! I thought it sounded like a great second job when the offer was set at 400 per drop now 4000 per drop. Im turning over my company to someone else and retiring as Tink!:sohappy:

I know that she gets "pushed" out on the wire and that the momentum is the only thing moving her. I've heard that when she has been dressed as a witch for MNSSHP that sometimes the costume has gotten caught in the line and she has to pull herself down by hand over hand. I know she gets paid an 8 hour day for the flight, but it's not like she walks into MK and flies, she has to have make-up applied and get dressed, so it isn't really as simple as you would think.
