Who knows what Tink gets paid to fly?

When my Mom and I went on Keys to the Kingdom on December 29th (which was amazing by the way), our tour guide said that right now, there are 2 Tinks. The main Tink is a 2nd grade teacher that just comes over every night (when shes working), works for about 20 minutes and goes home. Thinking that she gets a full 8 hours salary and a hazard bonus, thats a really nice pay for a half hour's work (and also having a full time job).

I can validate that tink does work a short shift but gets paid 8 hours, though it's not twenty minutes. It's usually between 1 and 2 hours from arrival to departure. Tink (and all of her 'split personalities') also has a few other friends...

Well here is the deal... My girlfriend got offered to fly as Tink during the Wishes fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. They told her that because there was much risk, and people were so hard to find that fit the criteria (18 or older, between 4'8" and 4'11" and under 110 lbs) that it pays over $400 per night/ show. When she told me this my jaw dropped. I did not believe her but she insisted that that was what she was told. Does anyone know if this is for real?

I thought it was $500, but yeah, Tink's rich.

How high really is the drop? I mean she's not going that fast, but I mean that's a really high jump. I'd really be interested to see what the EXACT amount really is...And btw..Your girlfriend weighs 83 pounds, or whatever you said?

Yeah I tend to think that sounds about right because I remember my dad being friends with a tink in the mid 90's and she bought a very nice home from him, he's a real estate broker, and I remember asking him to ask her and she said around 300 so I imagine it has gone up! But yeah I got to met her and I thought I was the coolest little girl in the world, mind you I was like 10! LOL

If I wasn't a man and didn't weigh 1.5 times the maximum wight and if I wasn't 1.5 times the maximum height, I'd want to be Tink.

Lot's of money. Lots of people that love you. Going down a zipline everynight.

Pff. That's unfair

My sentiments exactly.

In fact, the bit about the height and weight is verbatim what I was going to post.

I have heard the $500 amount many times over the years. This is my 15 year old daughter's dream job, so we have asked about it on many trips. Unfortunately, while she easily meets the weight requirement; she hit five-four earlier this year, so, unfortunately hers is one Disney dream that is not going to come true. :( (It's okay, though, she has other Disney dreams.)

I love the 2nd grade teacher story.

I am just a bit over those requirements. darn. that would be a great job after I finish my college education, haha.

I second on that 2nd grade teacher story- thats awesome. I would be like "oh my god.. my teacher is tinkerbell mommy!"
