Ha! When I turn UP the heat (back when it was zero outside a few days ago), I turned up the thermostat to 65. Usually I like it around 60ish during the winter. I got a chuckle out of your son wrapped up in his "cocoon" with the dog by his side. :)

Sorry to hear about your heater being broken down though. I hope they fix it quickly for you and the family.

I was able to get the heat to stay on all night. My boiler seems to pump it out when it feels like it. Still no hot water though and honestly that’s starting to wear on me. They are supposed to call me today with an update on when they will have the new control panel. They best call by 10 or I’m going to have to call them. It will be a significantly less civil conversation if I need to initiate the call.

10:15 I called them. I said my boiler has been broken since Saturday and a part is being ordered so I wanted to check on the status. The woman looked up my account, said "Ohhh - hang on". I was on hold for about 5 minutes and she came back and said they are having issues locating the part and want to send someone back to my house to double check that's the problem. That's what I asked them to do Saturday. Boiler comes on and sometimes will stay on for a bit but no hot water since Saturday. Later peeps - heading home to wait for the boiler guy. If I sound calm, rest assured, I am not. There's language unsuitable for the forum spewing from my mouth.
