Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Had today’s temps been lower, we would have had a butt-load of snow. As it was, it was a little snow, a lotta rain.

But do not despair, this was just the opening act. The main event will be Friday night into Saturday.

Weekend storms are far less stressful!

Would you consider sharing the recipe? That soup looked good!
It's a super exclusive one I found. I had to venture all the way to the second link when I Googled "baked potato recipe". 😂

I didn't add the onions or sour cream. Instead of frying bacon, I just put a full bag of bacon bits in.

I've never made the recipe before, but it was good. I have WAY too much, though. I'm terrible when knowing how much servings a recipe will produce. It said 6 servings, but it's probably more like 10. Guess I'll have some for the rest of the week. 😂

The soup might freeze up okay if you have some freezer space.

Edit: I see there was already a discussion about this. I guess I should read before posting. 🤓

You inspired me. We had baked potato soup for diner tonight. Nothing better on a cold winter night.

I'd love to tell you how much I miss all that frozen rain but I'm not that big a liar. I'll take my occasional downpours, hurricanes and tornados. They may be scary but as soon as they pass by, they are gone and unless they came directly in ones neighborhood there is nothing to clean up. If they do, that's why insurance was created. Besides a little danger in ones life only makes one feel alive (at least at the moment). Anything you live through ultimately wasn't a big deal. 😱🤕

That’s easier said than done having home insurance in hurricane prone states ( ie FL ). I was in FL during the freakish 3 hurricanes in 14 weeks 2004. A number of insurance companies went bankrupt after claim payouts and or cancelled policies later in the year to “ limit exposure “. When the insurance adjuster visits you weeks after the hurricane gives you dollar figure for pay out. Then the blood suckers repair companies advise 2x or 3x the price if you want your roof windows walls etc fixed in a timely manner. That’s just a few examples. If you report price gouging it is like talking to a brick wall.

According to the National Weather Service, we have a 70% chance of 8+ inches of snow on Friday into Saturday. Looking like another snow day. We're supposed to get a couple more inches tonight, too.

We are under a winter storm warning as well but maybe 5 inches.
