Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

"Die Winter Die"? It's only Jan. 8th.
We unfortunately have accomplished about 25% of winter thus far....maybe only 20%?
I'm not good at math.
Yet the main point is you (@Figgy1 ) hate winter. I with you on that.
I'm not a big fan of it either.
When I lived up North going to elementary school and weather got bad , some kids were pulled out of school by their parents to vacation at warmer climates ( ie WDW, FL etc ). I was not so lucky.

YES, we do!!! I'm just praying we don't pick Williams with our #1 pick. I'd be very happy if Poles traded the pick again. It seemed to work well last year....
This is not me trying to be a Bears hater, but I don't think Fields is the guy. By every metric, he is not a productive passer. He's an exceptional athlete. One of the best in the league. But to win consistently in the NFL, you need to throw down the field. He's often compared to Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts, but at this point in their careers they were more productive passers than Fields is. Lamar is an underrated passer.

If I were the Bears, I would take Williams or Maye #1 if I thought they were a generational talent. Especially since next year will be Fields' last year on a cheap deal. He's going to want to get paid, and I don't feel like he's shown enough consistently to warrant a big pay day.

With a top QB, the Bears could be scary with another player or two on offense.

We have a snow day tomorrow. We're supposed to get 8-15 inches starting tonight through Wednesday morning. Then we're supposed to get another round on Friday.

I hope you have a relaxing day and stay safe at home. Is this a freebie or is your school doing a virtual day? Our district added a few minutes at the start and end to our school days so if we have any snow days our minutes should still be covered at the end of the year. Virtual learning days did not go over very well in our district, mostly because of spotty wifi for our more rural students.

It's a full day off. If we have a big enough heads-up it will be "Learn at Home", where we send options for kids to do at home. However, we had a PD day today, so we couldn't send anything home with students.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Raccoons are an absolute menace around here.

I forget how much it cost us this summer. $300-400 I think, because I could hear raccoons on the neighbour’s side of the attic. They couldn’t be heard in our attic, and our openings to the outside were sealed up tight, but because there was a minuscule gap in the block wall separation between the two attics, we had to be inspected also.

Mike had to come home from the trailer, empty the closet, unseal the attic hatch, and then reseal the hatch and put the clothes back. Then I had to come home and totally rearrange the clothes.

Long story short, nothing on our side. Evidence of a full family with babies in the neighbour’s attic. Gap between attics sealed. Neighbours paid a whole heck of a lot more than we did, because they had to clean up the droppings, sanitize, blah, blah, blah.

(This is what happens when you’re still up at 5:00 am and can hear the babies crying next door because mommy and daddy have gone garbage bin marauding, and you tell the neighbours they’ve got raccoons. 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Mike even pointed out to them how the raccoons got in because it was clearly visible from the street.

I would never feed one. Cute to look at it, but that’s where the fun ends.

I don't know if I'm offended or not by the last statement 🤔🦝🤔

I have that weird, icky pre-storm feeling. The whole day has felt off. All I need is for the coyotes to start, and then I’ll be totally done for.

The wind is starting to howl. Snow is expected to start at 4:00 am on and off to 11:00 am, before switching over to rain.

Hopefully a nice cup of tea and a melatonin will help. Some bedtime prayers and puppy snuggles too.

I would take a real winter than this global warming fiasco we have with temps in 50s one day than 30s the next.

Of course, I only got like 3 inches of snow with no more snow in sight. Sad

Because I grew up in Wyoming, where the grocery store was 40 miles away.

Too far but I have Aldi's, Dave's Supermarket (local chain which is the best), Stop and Shop, Market Basket, Target, Trader Joe's all on the same road within 3.5 miles. More than you do the whole radius. So anything outside of that is a no go. We used to have a Shop Rite but that closed.

Definitely not taken as a hater. I totally see what you are saying.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a huge Ohio State quarterback fan, but I'm on the fence with Fields. I don't feel he has had a fair shake having to deal with a crappy O-line and an absolutely horrendous Coordinator. My dead grandma has a better playbook than Getsy does. I am eagerly awaiting him being fired. (Sorry, I know he came from GB 🙃 not trying to be a hater 😉)

I REALLY don't want Williams. I'd entertain Maye and I was really impressed with McCarthy last night. The ideal situation would be we fire Eberflus and hire Harbaugh. I think he and McCarthy make a great team! But we know Eberflus is staying so 🤷‍♀️

I would LOVE to get Harrison, Jr.!! He and DJ Moore would be an awesome tandem!!! But again, we need help on the O-line.....

I'm also of the belief it's better to have a rookie QB sit for a couple years before starting. I think a lot of guys would be better for it. I know that will never happen, because the shelf life of coaches and GMs are so short.
