Jennifer, you are so good to remember…I haven’t updated on Cousin Vinny. He was showing promise, then reverted to touch-and-go, which is why I went to Ireland on my own (yet with my dad), but he was transferred to a long-term acute care hospital this week, where they expect he’ll stay for about 25 days before going to rehab. The LTAC hospital will be working to get him off the trach tube and breathing fully on his own. It does look like he will lose the use of his right arm, as it has been non-responsive since the hemorrhage
I’m going back again to Ireland for the 6 Jan, so I truly hope I haven’t said last goodbye. My Uncle Charlie is the light and heart of our family, and he has his heart set on a Foster & Allen concert on Dec 28. He bought tickets to take his entire family (children and their spouses, plus now my dad) to the show, preceded by dinner, as his gratitude for those support during his illness. I found out that the medication they sent him home with is steroids that will keep him fairly well until even they lose their effect and he starts to fade. So it could be weeks or months. During the week I was there, he looked great, then good, then poorly, then good again. I dont know what to think. That’s one of the very sucky things about cancer.
I’ve had better weeks, but hey, I don’t have Covid.

Flonase is magic—I have acquired allergies and it keeps me uncongested.
And now I’m finished feeling sorry for myself. Thank you for asking, and for “listening”
