Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Can you threaten to tie things up with a credit card dispute? Be sweet as pie when doing so;):angelic:
PayPal. I always use PayPal if it’s an option because they always have your back. I’ve never lost a PayPal dispute.

That being said, I chat messaged with a real person at Wayfair this morning, sent photos, and she adjusted the refund.

Ski has COVID. Tested positive 5 mins ago.

My test is negative. Mike testing next.

If we’re all going to get it, all at once is better than one right after the other … due to Christmas being a week away. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Prayers, pixie dust and {{HUGS}} from a nice safe distance. I hope you, S and M remain negative and Ski recovers quickly

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.
@JenniferS
Hope everyone recovers quickly with mild symptoms that has it and I hope everyone who doesn't have it stays negative.

so just the one son has covid and everyone else is negative so far?
So far. Mike tested negative this morning before leaving for work.

If memory serves, the progression last time was Ski on Sunday night; me on Wednesday morning; Mike on Friday night; Spenser on Saturday morning. We’re starting one day later this go around.

It’s been a day, I tell ya. The boys are squabbling like toddlers … except with lots of eff words. Ski and I are feeling brutal. Spenser is mad that Ski brought it into the house. Again. (Like it’s his fault. 🤦🏻‍♀️) I am being being abused by aggressive online scammers looking to (not) buy our truck.

On the plus side, Daisy is a delight, as always. Gosh, I love this dog! Thank you Lord, for finding us such a perfect dog.

And now, let’s have a laugh. NGL - it took me half a sec.

Always a good reminder. My mom always complained about the mammogram so I dreaded going for my first one but after I had my first one I wondered why she complained it wasn’t that bad. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t something I enjoy but the way she described it, I thought it was like being put on a medieval rack!
My mom couldn't afford to have it done. We were pretty poor. She finally got one through a program for women over 55 with low income. That's when they found her cancer. It was too far gone. She fought it for 2 years, but she didn't make it. I've had 3 mammograms now and once I turn 50, I think I automatically get one every year or two. They are good about screenings here. It's all provided for free.

The sad face was about your mom not being able to get a mammogram until it was too late. Iim glad that you have good access to screenings. My grandmother had cancer so I qualified for early age screenings.

I've had it for almost a week and E had it for nearly a week before I tested positive. I was symptom free for three days after testing positive. DH isn't even testing. There are no regulations here anymore. When I told my boss I tested positive, she told me to come in anyway, but then she found someone to work for me, so I didn't have to. But there's no rule that you have to quarantine or anything so I have to go back tomorrow, even though I still have the stuffy nose, etc. It's not really bad. I don't really get a cough with Covid like most people. But I really don't want to give it to someone else who might get it worse than I do. I only have a stuffy nose, but someone else could get severely sick. I hate that there are no restrictions in place. I can't call in sick unless I'm really sick, and I'm not. And since this is a new job, I can't afford to risk appearing "unreliable" by calling in sick for a whole week or longer. I wish I still had the excuse of "I'm in quarantine."

Yeah, I was 25 when mom died and I asked to get a mammogram and they said I was too young. That the youngest they knew of someone getting breath cancer was 28, and my tissue would be too dense anyway. They wouldn't do one. I got my first one at about 35 because of my family history. I asked my doctor if I could do one for a baseline. Then I've had two more because of things I found in self exams, but it was always just regular tissue. And with my history, over here, they do screenings every year or two after you turn 50.

Thanks. This too shall pass. I just wish I didn't have to put other people at risk.

I completely understand - I had COVID recently and in the beginning it was just a scratchy throat, but I ended up canceling plans to see friends that day and was REALLY glad I had when I tested positive a couple of days later. And although there is no longer any obligation to quarantine here either, my employer has a strict COVID policy so I had no choice but to work from home for a week. While I prefer working in the office, I don’t like the idea of putting others at risk. No one else in the household got it either, which was good.
