Last night we had a staff holiday party. Every year a couple in the community hosts the entire district staff. They provide all the food and drinks. Their home is in a old theatre above businesses on the main road in town. It's a really unique place. Elvis actually performed at the theatre in 1964, and he signed the wall. They have the signature framed.

I Love this!! (My favorite was the person dressed up as a snowman, driving his decorated tractor.) :hilarious:

P.S.: When I first started watching, I saw the police cars with their blue flashing lights on -- and I thought they were there to round up drivers, driving on the wrong side of the street. (But I guess they gave them all a pass, because better viewing of the actual parade route was on the opposite side. :p )

No, I meant with the blasting of horn constantly especially that one with the police siren. It just seems like to much of a good thing. That parade is nice and very worthy, but the noise, to me, would be quite unpleasant to hear at such a high and constant level.
I think the video makes it seem louder than in person in a wide open area. .

Also don't quite understand why you post got a laugh emoji 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oddly enough, I liked hearing the sirens, etc. in the background. It added to the experience, like being there in person, watching all the tractors on parade. I know that any local town parade I've been to (in years past), always had sirens sounding from police cars and fire department trucks. Guess I just associate the noise as part of the event.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I’m annoyed. I ordered white drapes.

This is what they sent me. (On left. Yes, seriously.)

And now it’s costing me $14-something to return them. First world problems, I know, but we spent 14 hours at the apartment today, and couldn’t even hang the drapes. Grrrrrr.

Why did you have to pay to return when it was their mistake?
