Mike’s cousin posted this on FB, and now I’m not sure we can still be friends.

We have come to the realization that sometimes the inability to accept the truth can wreak families. However, in this case the fact that most of all we know about it came from a movie leaves a lot of wiggle room for poetic license. Forgive and move on!
I am now fairly happy that, after some thought, I hadn't posted that meme myself. That was a close one. 😇

Much as we would not like to admit it, yes, there are people who have never heard of the seven fishes. Until I met my husband, I was one of them!!

I draw the line at 12 cookies, one for each day of Christmas. :)
I am 75 years old and I never heard about it until last year on this board. Still don't feel like I missed out on anything though.

We had almost 5 inches of rain (I'll allow you to do your one conversion on that) but we did have a small Tornado about 10 miles from Raleigh. Cool and sunny here at the moment. 65F yesterday, 38F here this morning. Parka time for the natives.
A lot of rainfall severely impacts I-95 N and S and the small town of Lumberton which many travel on to get to points North and South. The roads and town literally is underwater. A number of times we had detour at the NC/SC border when traveling. A few months after a massive weather event a number of hotels in Lumberton were closed to due the first floor level of the hotels having water damage when we tried looking for a hotel room. I remember a number of weather events when I lived in NC. Forget about snowfall, the area where I lived in shuts down when receiving 3 inches of snow.

Is Italian Christmas wine something that under another name did not sell the rest of the year so the put a new special occasion label on it to clear out the stock. If so... clever, very clever!
Wine doesn't really work like that. The white is a Pinot Grigio and the red is a Sangiovese, both are well-known, popular and readily available wines. The Pinot Grigio pairs well with all kinds of fish, and the Sangiovese is perfect with tomato sauce (or gravy, as @Figgy1 and I call it) dishes, although a tiny bit heavy for fish.

It is definitely a marketing ploy to get the consumer's attention at Christmas time, so you're 100% right about that part. As evidenced by the fact that we bought four bottles of the red Sangiovese, when I would really rather have served a Barbera with the fish. :)
