Food snob!?!?I don’t think I’ve eaten a slice of bologna in more than 40 years. Not even the mixed/assorted subs I order include bologna.

I don't eat it constantly, but I usually always have some in the fridge. I tend to use it, like you do, bologna on white bread with a slice of cheese and yellow mustard. The only luncheon meat that I occasionally crave but don't always have it on hand is Liverwurst. That with mustard and onions is probably not the healthiest thing to eat, but I love the stuff. That is why it is an occasional purchase. My father had two occasional favorites.. one was blood pudding and the other was head cheese. I did try the later, once, but he didn't have to worry about me using up his blood pudding.About once a year, I live dangerously, and have a bologna sandwich with plain, yellow mustard. Other than that, I never get any craving for it. As a side note: when I was a kid, I ate a ton of it for school lunches. It may have been in my teens, that I stopped liking it, as I learned it was far from the safest thing you could eat.
I love deli meats, but I lean more to pastrami, salami, and Montreal smoked meat.Food snob!?!?
Are you sure?* Have you seen the movie?Probably more, because Gracey Mansion won't sink to the bottom of the sea.
Yea, we used to have fried bologna with eggs. Poor man's ham!I love deli meats, but I lean more to pastrami, salami, and Montreal smoked meat.
I have two packs of Genoa salami in the trailer fridge right now. I eat it straight from the package.
We seldom ate bologna sandwiches as kids; my mom sent us to school with egg, tuna, or salmon salad, and good old pb&j.
Bologna was a Saturday morning thing - fried, with a splash of maple syrup in the pan. The later slices were the ones everyone wanted, as the maple syrup continued to caramelize in the pan with each round of cooking. I can’t for the life of me think what Dad served it with. Eggs, I guess.
If it did were there any random floating doors? Are you sure?* Have you seen the movie?
*Not a spoiler. (Unless, of course, it is. I’ll guess you’ll have to watch the movie to find out.)
I like liverwurst, too, and haven't had it in about a year. I tend to forget about it, because it's not popular anymore. When I was a kid, my mother bought it sometimes for our school lunches. I've shopped in the immigrant owned mom and pop grocery stores and I've tried liver spread in tin cans from Brazil and Argentina. Last time I checked at the grocery store deli, they didn't have any, but the guy told me they get it in once in a while. So, it's not a big seller.
It may be good. (For me, it depends on what spices they use, whether it would be a deal breaker or not. ) Anyway, I so rarely have it, but will keep the local, ethnic grocery shops in mind, in case my regular supermarket decides to no longer carry it at all.I've shopped in the immigrant owned mom and pop grocery stores and I've tried liver spread in tin cans from Brazil and Argentina. I find it in the regular processed luncheon meat area of the stores. It doesn't say Liverwurst it is called braunschweiger. It is smoked and slightly different from regular liverwurst, but I defy you to tell the difference. It's smoked liverwurst. I haven't seen anything labeled Liverwurst for years. it's easy to find because of the bright yellow wrap. The dilemma for me is that I hate liver, yet love liverwurst.I like liverwurst, too, and haven't had it in about a year. I tend to forget about it, because it's not popular anymore. Same here!!The dilemma for me is that I hate liver, yet love liverwurst.
I was sitting on the couch this morning wondering where I was going to put my Christmas tree in my new apartment. I can really only put it in one corner, but I need to figure out where to move the shelf to. I guess I have three months to figure it out.
how about on the patio?I was sitting on the couch this morning wondering where I was going to put my Christmas tree in my new apartment. I can really only put it in one corner, but I need to figure out where to move the shelf to. I guess I have three months to figure it out.
