Maybe you didn’t paddle….😉.

You had me until you added Splenda. Living in the south now, Sweet Tea is the thing, but I will never understand why everything must be sweetened. I used to drink unsweet Iced Tea all day long (homemade) but lately I have cut back to one glass a day. No particular reason other than I have gotten to lazy to make it and too cheap to buy it. Many day, none at all.

Years ago I had a Pepsi in my hand constantly. Got sick of that too. Now I occasionally have a Diet Dr. Pepper less than once a week. My biggest pet peeve when it comes to beverages would be flavored Ice Teas. Why? If I want something that taste like lemons, I'd have lemonade.
I frequent Sonny's BBQ throughout the South for the meats and the impossible to find salad bar nowadays. I ordered a large sweet tea it must have been 32 oz cup that tasted like someone dumped a small bag of sugar and stirred.

When I’m visiting South, I always order unsweetened ice tea with lemon. I then add just the tiniest bit of Splenda. I use half packet spread out over three iced teas; so really just the tiniest bit.

Today was our last day of summer school, so I stayed after for a couple hours and worked in my room. I mainly just wiped things down and dusted. I don't do it at the end of the year because I know I'll just need to do it again before school starts.

This is where I left off today. I've got quite a bit to do yet, even if it looks fairly good right now.

I'll head back up next week on Monday or Tuesday, then probably again later in the week. I'm enlisting the help from a former student. Just trying to see if our schedules match. As I was working today, I was making a list of things he could do.

Has anyone seen The Haunted Mansion? Without spoilers, did you like it? I've heard mixed reviews. My dad and I might go see it on Sunday.
I saw it. Loved it! Preferred it to Barbie.

It got a little a little chaotic near the end, but in in a PotC/Indy way, if you know what I mean.

There were so many Easter eggs and nods to the ride and characters we know and love. The actors, especially the guy who played Ben were very engaging, and humour permeated every scene - every scene that didn’t make you tear up.

I loved the recreation of the mansion - it totally exceeded my expectations. I always dreamed of buying Casa Loma and turning it into a B&B, but now that I’ve “seen” Gracey Manor fully realized, I may have changed my mind. Of course, if y’all wanted to pitch in and help me clean it up, you can be the first guests!

I don’t think I’ve eaten a slice of bologna in more than 40 years. Not even the mixed/assorted subs I order include bologna.
About once a year, I live dangerously, and have a bologna sandwich with plain, yellow mustard. Other than that, I never get any craving for it. As a side note: when I was a kid, I ate a ton of it for school lunches. It may have been in my teens, that I stopped liking it, as I learned it was far from the safest thing you could eat.

In the South , fried bologna and cheese sandwich hits the spot. When I went to elementary school there was no such thing as school provided lunches or vending machines in the school location. My mom would make me a bologna sandwich on some days , banana and drink to put in my Planet of the Apes lunch box that I would take to school.
