Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Seeking advice. I want to put this Monet art work for sale on Facebook Market Place. Please notice I placed a red sharpie marker down in the left corner so you can get a sense of the size of this. What is the correct vocabulary ...a PRINT? Not a PAINTING correct?20220826_110410.jpg

What might I reasonably price this for? We have enjoyed it for years but the room it was in was repainted another color and now this does not work in that room anymore.

I had the exact same print in my bathroom for decades. I believe I paid $30, frame included, in 1987.

The print alone, brand new, is worth $$40-$65 USD. Honestly, you’d be lucky to get $15/$20 on Marketplace. Ask for $30 … see if you get any nibbles.

Also, are you sure it doesn’t work with the new paint? There actually isn’t a wall colour that it wouldn’t compliment. I had mine hung on multiple different coloured walls over the years, including exposed brick.

Yes my friend. Thanks for your time re this. My wife has the color theme in the living room of light blue and white. The empty wall between the white shelf and the window is where the mostly green-colored Monet print was when we had light green walls...20220826_134839.jpg

How is jumping in puddles bad behavior? We bought our kids rain boots specifically to go puddle jumping!

To be fair, I DID NOT let my kids watch teletubbies, because I felt the language was terrible. I wanted the kids to speak clearly, not say "eh-oh" for "hello". But that's the only one I banned. There were plenty of other programs in which the characters did not speak gibberish.

I don't know about yours in particular but my eye clinic at the VA has that same picture on the wall in the waiting, waiting and waiting room. To bad so many can't really see it! ;) I had a problem healing from my cataract surgery and over a few weeks of checkups I used that one to gauge my progress. Every time I went, it got clearer and clearer until I finally realized that it is a little blurry to begin with. I'm pretty sure that considering the location the one at the VA was a print.

I read a book, I believe last summer, about teaching in Finland. It was really interesting, so I researched it a lot more. They go out for recess in every type of weather and encourage those "riskier" types of play. When they come in, they take off their shoes/boots and go shoeless in their classrooms. Then I found out some countries have their students even go barefoot. When I got to thinking about it, it makes a lot of sense. It's more comfortable, it's what kids are used to doing at home, and it keeps the classroom cleaner. I would love to have a shoeless classroom, but of course I live in the land of lawsuits and what happens if you have a fire drill, or someone stubs their toe?

That does make sense, as long as the kids don't all have stinky feet (aka middle schoolers). 🤪 :)

Thanks for that interesting story. Have a great weekend!

@Goofyernmost have you had your surgery yet? Just wanted to send good vibes for it and your healing.
Yes, I had it on the 2nd of August. I have since been on house arrest waiting for healing to take place. I just started to venture out a little. They claimed it was successful but any change has been slow to manifest itself yet. I have both physical therapy and Occupational therapy once a week. They come to me. There are times it gets very depressing because the changes are very slow to show up and I have been blessed cursed with absolutely no patience for the past 74 years.

I'm glad the surgery went well. Healing can be slow and frustrating sometimes, but it is good that you are starting to venture out now instead of staying homebound.
