Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I've reached the age (good or bad) where being economical is no longer a concern. I don't get things I don't want, but am not worried about outliving my money as long as no one steals it.
I like that @Goofyernmost
Good post!
As for me...I like cereal. I try to have at least 5 choices in my pantry. It was just nice to have some hot food this morning since I was out on the road anyway.

I watched all the super bowl ads on You Tube before the game even started. I didn't watch it this year because I am not a football fan. I usually watch it at my daughters house complete with super bowl snacks and the half time show, but this year at least, temporarily stopped the group participation. In the past I always had a minor bet on whatever team my SIL and grandson were routing for. Since they hated the Patriots I always bet on them. This year the last thing thing I wanted to watch is Tommy Boy win again. So I am glad I didn't have to watch that because I would have been cursing in front of my family.
Oh, there was no You Tube back when we had parties. This was in the early 90s, when I was in high school.

When I comes to Mickey D's I like most of what they serve for breakfast except what you are showing. Oh, I like scrambled eggs but for the rest, I pass. I don't hate the stuff, but I don't like them enough to pay for them. I used to be addicted to Egg McMuffins. They were a staple and a thing that had to be observed on every road trip. Starting from my first road trip from Vermont to Florida I drove to Albany, NY and stopped and we all got an Egg McMuffin. It became a good luck thing. Every time going or returning on a road trip it always started with an Egg McMuffin. In fact, it still does some 36 years later. I will start out, get a few miles under my belt and stop for my fix.

The weird thing is that it is no longer my favorite. My current McD's addiction is the Breakfast (Sausage) Burrito. If I find myself out and about locally early enough, I will always stop for two Sausage Burrito's. I love them along with my lunch favorite, when available, the wonderful, incredible McRib. Fortunately for my health, I don't do any of those things very often.
They do breakfast all day there, now, right? That is one thing I miss about the US. Nothing is open for breakfast here except hotel restaurants and McDonalds started doing breakfast a couple of years ago, but you have a choice of an Egg McMuffin, Egg McMuffin with bacon, or an Egg McMuffin with sausage, or a croissant. That's it. And they don't have the hashbrown things. Germany has a lot broader breakfast menu, but we can't travel right now anyway. And our McDonalds breakfast is only served until 11:00.

Sometimes, you gotta just change things up. I usually eat the same groups of things (more or less), and it's based upon what can be easily kept at home with a good shelf life, and also what's relatively economical. But every now and then, I'll go out and get something at a take-out. We all need some variety in our food lives! :hungry:

The hashbrowns are the best part!

My only recollection of a Continental Breakfast was a hard roll that was hard enough to be mistaken for a rock and coffee so strong that you could use it to fill potholes in the highway. I'm not surprised that any McDonalds style breakfast doesn't take a long time to become popular. Old habits die hard.

I like cereal but more for an evening snack then breakfast. Being by myself and having a tough time to find things to use milk with, I seem to always be throwing out a lot of questionable tasting milk. It seem like very time I decide that I would like some cereal, that milk will have turned ripe and/or chunky. I really should start to use cereal for breakfast as I am consuming way to many eggs. Can't help it, I love them.

Maybe buy a smaller carton of milk, and try that? (Also, I always check the milk for the latest "sell by" date. I dig way in the back of the milk shelf in the store, and pull out one from the back with a later date.)

I check the date too and always think I have plenty of time to use it up because even 5 or more days after the date it is still good. The only true measure you have is what it smells like and how solid it has become. I buy it and even if I had two weeks to use it I lose track of time and all of a sudden I have a mess. The next size down is Quart and that isn't enough when I actually use it for things. Can you freeze milk if the container has room for expansion? Never mind I just googled it and some you can and some you can't. Separate when frozen and it will need to expand without breaking the container.

have you tried shelf stable milk? you refrigerate it after opening
How long does shelf stable milk last unopened?
6 months
and, since the product won't go bad as quickly, less is wasted: Whereas typical unopened dairy milk expires within a matter of weeks under refrigeration, the unopened shelf stable stuff lasts up to 6 months at room temp.
on that famous shopping site

Parmalat Shelf Stable UHT Whole Milk 1 Qt (Pack of 6) $9

In Canada, we freeze bagged milk all the time. You just have to give it a little shake once it’s thawed, before snipping the bag.
