Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Also, there is ice on the roads all around town from Thursday's storm. The temps have been too cold for anything to melt it, and the temps aren't supposed to warm up enough for salt to work until the week of February 14th. 🥶
That is exactly why most severe winter areas have a supply of sand as well as salt. Sometimes mixed, sometimes just sand. That give traction no matter how cold it gets.

I'm not sure what the highways are like. I haven't been on them since before the storm. But there was some gravel down in parts of our town. I'm assuming the same for the highways, although I'm sure the highways have been given better treatment than the in town roads.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Do you guys spray brine before a big freeze?

The bad thing about the snow days... I am way behind on my Survivor podcasts. I still have half of one to catch up on, plus two more full ones. That's about 5.5 hours worth of podcasts, and then I'll have another one coming out on Wednesday night. I might have to listen to some outside of my commutes to catch up!

Now you know how I feel. Every year.

Bet you’ll be watching though. Bet I won’t be!
When I lived in the US, we always had a "party" for the superbowl...we'd get together at someone's house for the game. I'm not sure we ever actually watched the game. We usually played board games, or just chatted and ate snacks until the commercials. We'd watch the commercials, then go back to what we were doing. The best commercials were saved for the superbowl, and none of us cared about the actual game.

I watched all the super bowl ads on You Tube before the game even started. I didn't watch it this year because I am not a football fan. I usually watch it at my daughters house complete with super bowl snacks and the half time show, but this year at least, temporarily stopped the group participation. In the past I always had a minor bet on whatever team my SIL and grandson were routing for. Since they hated the Patriots I always bet on them. This year the last thing thing I wanted to watch is Tommy Boy win again. So I am glad I didn't have to watch that because I would have been cursing in front of my family.

Good morning. Today I am teaching from home starting at 9am. Unless I am at a Hampton Inn, every day of the year I start my day with a bowl of cereal...View attachment 530371
Yet this morning I went to the Post Office when they opened and immediately after that I decided to live it up 😂 and get myself a McDonald's breakfast😀....20210208_083519.jpg....It was a nice change..delicious!

When I comes to Mickey D's I like most of what they serve for breakfast except what you are showing. Oh, I like scrambled eggs but for the rest, I pass. I don't hate the stuff, but I don't like them enough to pay for them. I used to be addicted to Egg McMuffins. They were a staple and a thing that had to be observed on every road trip. Starting from my first road trip from Vermont to Florida I drove to Albany, NY and stopped and we all got an Egg McMuffin. It became a good luck thing. Every time going or returning on a road trip it always started with an Egg McMuffin. In fact, it still does some 36 years later. I will start out, get a few miles under my belt and stop for my fix.

The weird thing is that it is no longer my favorite. My current McD's addiction is the Breakfast (Sausage) Burrito. If I find myself out and about locally early enough, I will always stop for two Sausage Burrito's. I love them along with my lunch favorite, when available, the wonderful, incredible McRib. Fortunately for my health, I don't do any of those things very often.
