There's a day to celebrate the mason jar?? Really? There's really a day for everything, isn't there?

The sad thing is so many, many people young and old would have fallen for it. What a screwed up world we now inhabit. It hasn't improved with generational change. Maybe someone should come up with an exciting cell phone game that would teach people not to be stupid.

I’ve made a game of jerking these scammers along for as long as possible. The goal is to get THEM to hang up on ME.

The longer I can keep them tied up, that’s one or two less people they can scam throughout the day.

I have an almost four hour commute each day ... lots of time to perfect my schtick!

The scam call that gets the prize, is the one where the caller informs me that my car's warranty is running out SOON, and I can purchase an extended warranty, by clicking "1".

O.k. Two issues here: I bought the car used, after the previous owner had it for about 4 years. Now, even if I bought it new -- it was a 2007 !! :hilarious: I think it's reasonable to say that the warranty ran out quite a few years ago! :p

My car is a 2019, 15000 miles and leased and I get up to 4 calls a day telling me to extend the warrantee. No matter how often I tell them that bit of information they never take me off the list. I would think they would want to be spending that time on people that might really have a legitimate need, but I guess they are going with the percentages. If I figure correctly about 48% of the population of this country is willing to accept everything someone tells them. (sigh)
