For @MinnieM123:
Three hours to get home last night, but beauty comes at a price.

Pic is from this morning after things had been melting for hours.

Gorgeous! Happy for you and your neighbors. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! :inlove:

We are supposed to get wet, sloppy snow tomorrow. I'm thankful that I am working from home, so I don't have to drive in it.

The snow will be pretty to look at, but if it's the icy kind, I'm glad you don't have to drive in it, though.

I played golf today, temps in the 60's a little cool, but nothing shocking. I'm supposed to play again on Wednesday and the forecast is for the 60's again. Gosh, do I miss that snow stuff. (hopefully that hint of sarcasm came through with that last statement). 😇

You know what a golf course is good for (but only in the winter)? Some courses turn into cross-country ski areas. So you have something to look forward to. Also, skiers don't ever use those odd terms like under par, birdie, etc.

@MinnieM123 and @JenniferS - this one made me think of you both!

Thank you for thinking of us. I'm sure it was beautiful; but for some reason, my computer had a warning thingie pop up, so I had to close out the video right when it started.

Two words ... Holy crap! 😲
Yeah, we were less than amused. I understand they missed us, the kids especially, but to me, you should always check first to make sure a person will be home, that they aren't sick, etc. And if no one answers the door, assume that either they are out or that they don't want company. The problem was the car was parked outside, so they figured we must be home. And they drove 40 minutes to be with us, so they weren't going to give up. I had been sick for several days leading up to New Years, but we had just seen them at Christmas. The house hadn't been sanitized, although there was no corona then, but we've always been careful because my BIL lives less than a block from them and is at their house a LOT, and he had a kidney transplant a number of years ago. If he gets a fever, he has to go directly to the hospital, and he's spent weeks of his life every year in the hospital because he gets a cold and it ends up turning into pneumonia, or he gets some infection in his body that it can't fight. So we've always been super cautious and if one of us is sick, we don't bring it to them. They didn't know I'd had a bug, but that's why you call!!

We may not be able to go now. E is coughing, has a sore throat and a slight raise in temperature...37.7C (99.8F) so we're getting her tested now. If she's positive, we all have to quarantine and won't be able to go this weekend.

I know, and we should all feel sorry for their less then full life. Imagine, being content on walk/sliding with sticks strapped to their feet over frozen water instead of being able to spend time outside without stuff freezing in their noses. I think an intervention is probably justified, but I guess they are not depriving anyone but themselves of comfortable enjoyment. So, enjoy the cold weather and frozen sunshine, I'm good. Me=🙂 Winter lovers everywhere=🥶 I don't think it is all that hard to figure out which one is the most enjoyable. 😉🤔🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I have never been drunk. I have never yakked as the result of alcohol.

I have other vices. Mostly milkshakes. 😋
I have once! I was underaged and drinking everything that was available at a Christmas office party where I worked part time. To top things off my parents were entertaining friends that night. My father and one of the guests came and picked me up, but man had I ever been sick. By the time they got to me I was at least not ill, just drunk. I would have been alright if I would have just gone into the house and straight to my room, silently. I, of course, didn't. As I walked through the living room with what seemed like a million eyes upon me, I turned and said... (and I'm not proud of this) I had such a good time at the party that I throwed up twice.

The only thing my mother said to me when I mentioned I wasn't feeling all that well the next morning was "Good! I hope you stay that way for a long time". Other then that there were no words spoken for about 3 days. It was my first time drinking (not my last) but I exercised a little more intelligence after that. Now, if I have the equivalent of one beer a year, it is nearly a miracle. No longer appeals to me, it always seemed to cause me more problems then it solved.
