I would opt out of the chive mashed potatoes and ask for the roasted Brussel sprouts insteadThe best holiday meals are served on disposable dishes.
Christmas season officially starts November 1, but can be celebrated earlier if you're in the spirit. I'm not going to stop you.I like all of it, actually. (It's a bit early for me now to listen to any of it, but you can bet I'll be listening starting around Thanksgiving -- the U.S. Thanksgiving date, that is. )
I'd opt out of the sweet potatoes and ask for more brussel sprouts! I LOVE Brussel sprouts!!I would opt out of the chive mashed potatoes and ask for the roasted Brussel sprouts instead
You know we Sageteers like our deals.I guess everyone prime shop on Tuesday and Wednesday, as its been so quiet here lol
yes we doYou know we Sageteers like our deals.
It seems that lately I've had to send almost as many things back as I order. Some things didn't match the description, others were broken. They paid for the return, but damn it's just a pain. I will still use it for most of my Christmas buying. Nothing beats just opening my door and there it is.You know we Sageteers like our deals.
I ordered a book, and it arrived last week. Or maybe this week. Or maybe it was the weekend. That's not relevant to the story, though, so I'll move on.It seems that lately I've had to send almost as many things back as I order. Some things didn't match the description, others were broken. The book did not fit in the packaging, so instead of getting larger packaging materials, they bent the book in half and stuffed it in the smaller one. I feel like that may be the dumbest choice you could make. Like even if you are on your first day on the job... common sense would tell you that you don't bend a book in half.
Um.....I doubt it could have been the person's first day, unless Amazon is incredibly negligent with their training practices. I work in a warehouse that ships children's clothing....different than books obviously, but 9 times out of 10 my job is training the new people to either fill orders, do returns, or pack. (Well, I haven't trained anyone in packing in a while, but still, I know how it goes.) Part of that training includes keeping the newbie from using an inappropriately sized box. We actually have machines that do the taping and stuff, and when the box comes by, if it's too big or too small, you have to put it on a separate belt to go to manual packaging so they can get a box that fits. And if the box is too full, it won't go through the tape machines and the label machine can't stick the mailing label on correctly. Amazon is a MASSIVE company...I doubt they'd just thrown in a newbie without training them, so it's more likely someone who just isn't very bright and doesn't care about the rules. Did you send it back? Or take pictures and file a complaint? They might be able to look up who packed your order so they can offer them more training or at least give them a warning. That's what we do. The supervisor will go find that person and just explain the rule and show them how to do it properly. Then if it happens again, they can't claim they didn't know any better.I ordered a book, and it arrived last week. Or maybe this week. Or maybe it was the weekend. Two in every crowd. Although I didn't buy anything from L.L. Bean. I did, however, return something to Amazon. Does that count?Well, there's one in every crowd -- I didn't buy anything on Amazon. (But, over the last weekend, I bought a bunch of things at L L Bean because of the Columbus Day holiday sales.)
Wait...!! Doesn't everyone fold a book in half when they finish reading. It is open when you are reading it and you close it in half when you are done. Seems logical now that I think about it.I ordered a book, and it arrived last week. Or maybe this week. Or maybe it was the weekend. That's not relevant to the story, though, so I'll move on.

I haven't sent it back yet, but I will. I also received an empty package one time with nothing in it. It wasn't even a box. It was one of those plastic packages. I sent a message to Amazon and they sent me the product. I don't even remember what it was.Um.....I doubt it could have been the person's first day, unless Amazon is incredibly negligent with their training practices. This is where I work. Unfortunately you can't see the packing stations, but the conveyor belt goes all the way around and when a box gets to a packing station, the person counts the items in the box. If it's correct and everything fits nicely, they send it through the tape machine, then it goes around to the label machine. If it's missing an item, has too many items, or is in the wrong sized box, it gets placed on a different belt to go to a different packing station where they manually scan the items so they can see what's missing or what doesn't belong, and they put together the right sized box and print out a label. So there are all kinds of checks and balances....I'm shocked that that package was allowed to be sent like that.

Also, if you're filling orders and you get a box in your zone that's already full, there are extra boxes under the belt that you can scan to attach a new box to the order. Then you put any additional items in the new box. Though a lot of people don't know how to attach the new box with the scanner, so a lot of people don't bother and just let them handle it at the packing station. But in any case, it's appalling that your book was folded in half. You have to be pretty dim to do that, or WANT to get fired...also a possibility?
It started to snow today as I was leaving work. I threw up a little. Luckily it lasted just a minute.

You win! Or lose, as the case may be.snowed here too, it put the students into a tizzy for a bit. You’d think they’d never seen snow before.
We have been virtual learning due to high cases in the county, but are going back in person on Monday. So I didn't have to deal with that, but I totally know what you mean. They lose their minds when they see the first snow. And then it's impossible to get them focused again.snowed here too, it put the students into a tizzy for a bit.
