Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I keep seeing people saying LA has waited 10 years for an NBA championship. As if that is ridiculously long.

Do people realize how long most teams wait for a championship?

Note: Six franchises -- the Charlotte Hornets, Denver Nuggets, LA Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans -- have never reached The Finals. They are noted below with a N/A.

First meal was for my brother - they ate yesterday. Second meal is ours.

Everything is pre-prepared and all I have to do is reheat and brown. We did this for both Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. Outstanding.

The first one wouldn't fly in my uncultured family. I'm the only one that eats Brussel Sprouts. They all make funny, I'm about to throw up, faces just when I eat them. But they all like cooked cabbage, and Cole slaw. My family is very dysfunctional when it comes to food choices. And the second would be rejected because of the Roasted Beets and the Sweet Potato Mash. I hope they don't ever express that dislike of Sweet Potatoes here in one of the largest Sweet Potato suppliers in the country. I can't speak for the Stuffing because I have never had any. Sounds OK though!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
It was all good. Dinner for three, household members only, as per the Premier’s imploring. Ski gets a reheated plate when he gets home from his annual fishing trip.

All of the sides came in oven proof dishes, and yes, I totally served them that way. Time to clean up, and then make a hot cup of tea.

I ate too much. Totally thankful for family, friends, good jobs, health, salvation through Jesus, hope for the future, and dishwashers.

The best holiday meals are served on disposable dishes.

I have popped in and out of tonight's NL Championship game between the Dodgers and the Braves. This is the 4th time the inning has ended but Fox's Broadcast does not go to commercials.

They just display one camera angle of the field. Eventually the next 1/2 inning is ready and the broadcast team turns on their microphones. What's up with this?

Jennifer, your dinner looked delicious. (That said, I would pass on the brussel sprouts and sweet potato, but the rest of it looked yummy!)

P.S.: Not that you or anyone needs to know this, but I only like sweet potatoes in sweet potato pie, because it's sweetened up and has tasty fall spices. I can never really tell much of a difference between sweet potato pie and pumpkin pie. And if you put some whipped cream on the top of either one, it's even more heavenly! :D

I'm sorry....I don't know why this just popped into my head, but your post made me think of the museum from Gilmore girls. Specifically this bit:

Really cool video. Not sure how accurate all of the fun facts are, but it really shows you how old some of our favorite Christmas songs are!

I'm old school....I like things like White Christmas, Silent Night, Joy to the World (always my favorite in the Christmas service as a kid....I couldn't wait for that one), Angels We Have Heard on High, etc....and then I've loved I'll be Home for Christmas since the first time I heard it in elementary school when I used to go with my mom to the rehearsals for the Community choir. They always did a Cantata at Christmas, and then a few little songs, and I fell in love with that one.

I can not stand the little drummer boy, and don't particularly like Do You Hear What I Hear.

I like all of it, actually. :) (It's a bit early for me now to listen to any of it, but you can bet I'll be listening starting around Thanksgiving -- the U.S. Thanksgiving date, that is. ;) )
