Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Daisy just had her first quasi-urgent vet appointment. Little dogs have specific little dog problems. If you know what that means, you know what that means.

1.1 kg last week. 1.16 kg this week. In your parlance, she has gained 2.116 oz. Yes, the vet suggested a little bit more wet food.

I heard you had a new Pup so I went looking for the pup, dang cute So happy for you.

Little Pups are not the only ones that need some catch up poundage. I am a supporter off CSI service dogs mostly Goldens and Labs. Every litter their is that one like you describe Daisy needing help catching up. Not hard The hard part is once they do Catch up getting them to cut back.

Enjoy She is adorable

You are 100% correct. They need to make an announcement one way or the other(hopefully to close or delay to reopening) now. It will not be fair at all to those guests who have all the plans for the first week or so vacation and "POOF" it's gone. Some of these guests I imagine are traveling by air which at the last minute you are totally screwed. It doesn't make much sense at all. Many States including the one I live in(New Jersey) have been tightening up restrictions once again. Here in New Jersey we were to have on July 2nd limited indoor dining and that went out the window after rising cases mostly in Southern New Jersey where I am from and from idiots that do not want to follow the directions and where masks in crowded areas like beach area bars so our Governor pulled things back. Texas also did something similar because the cases spiked extremely high. I cannot see how Florida and Disney are not going to follow suit here.
Well the Florida governor did close down bars, but that's it as far as I know. But if it was too dangerous to stay open when there were 1000 cases a day, I don't see how it's safe to open when there are 5 times that. It just doesn't seem logical. I mean, obviously it would suck for the people who were looking forward to FINALLY getting to make their trips after rebooking who knows how many times, even though they had to give up certain things. Some restaurants aren't opening, all the parties are canceled, no fastpass or single rider lines, etc....so it was already going to be an altered experience for them. So I can understand Disney being reluctant to postpone opening again, but really, it just doesn't follow logic to open it up with cases rising exponentially when they closed with far fewer. And even if they do plan to continue with plans to reopen, they should at least make a statement so people know what to expect and can alter their plans if they need to.

Most definitely. As the time gets closer and closer to the reopening date it seems more and more that Disney will keep that date as planned even though it don’t make sense. Now it is the 1st of July and only 2 weeks to the opening so even if they make a delay announcement today it would be leaving those guests with travel plans for July to the parks screwed. In my opinion though it still is the correct thing to do in delaying the opening because safety comes first.

I'm kind of torn. I don't want to say either they should or shouldn't reopen. I don't know where the cases in Florida are...for all I know they are concentrated in one small place far from Disney. And some other parks have opened and I don't know if they've seen a spike in cases because of those openings. So I don't know how likely it is that they can safely reopen. I just don't have enough information to say one way or another, and they have experts who DO have that info to make that decision. But the longer they wait to make an announcement one way or the other, the harder it will be for people to make changes to their plans. If someone is planning on going, but they are in a high risk group, they may wait for Disney to cancel so they don't lose their deposit by canceling themselves. If Disney DOESN'T cancel, then they are out the money. And then there may be people who have the time off, but who could still go back to work if the trip is cancelled...wait too late and they can't get hours anymore. My schedule is done a week in advance (used to be 4 weeks!) so if I wait too long to put in my availability, they just schedule me for whenever. So if I had said I couldn't work that week because of vacation, then the vacation gets canceled, that's a whole week of work I miss out on. I imagine cast members are nervous about it too....will they, won't they? It's a bit uncertain with the state of things.

I have no problem owning my words.

I go out of my way to not say unkind things, but sometimes the truth slips out.

😷 - the mask only holds back so much.
Oh, I try to always be kind. I'm never trying to be mean when I open my mouth, but people sometimes don't like hearing a different opinion than their own and it leads to issues. Most often on facebook.

Brash and headstrong, you are the diva of Muppets, Miss Piggy! You are loud and proud, with the largest personality in the room - and want others to notice you. You're an old-school romantic with a taste for the finer things in life, and have a tendency to be materialistic. All of this may sound a teensy bit negative, but o'contraire! Underneath all of your flashy outfits and temper tantrums lies a huge heart and a even bigger dreams.
