Our grocery stores also only permit one person per household - children excepted, but they would rather you leave them at home.

They will not let a couple in, one is sent back to the car to wait.

Is this anyone else’s experience?
It depends on the store here, but most strongly encourage you to only come with one person. They will let a couple in, but then both people HAVE to have a cart and it is kind of inconvenient. People don't want to use the carts, so they just set them somewhere and walk all over without it, so there's always someone else's empty cart sitting in front of the shelves. And when people are together, they take up a LOT of space with their carts. If they don't know exactly what they want, they'll stand in front of a section with the two of them, blocking that entire section while they pick things up, set them back down, read labels, etc. There was one woman, who I kid you not, she wanted something from the refrigerator section, which runs parallel to the meat and you have to walk past there to get to the bread and the cheese. This woman parked her cart perpendicularly to the meat, with her arm outstretched, holding the cart and with the door to the fridge part open, so she was literally blocking off the entire aisle so no one could walk through the aisle. I think she thought she was preventing people from getting too close to her, but all she was really doing is preventing people from getting away from her! Most people are going by themselves, though, which is what the stores prefer.

Yes! I really miss that music. The new score is nice but the old one was hauntingly beautiful. There’s just no topping Bach.
I'll never forget my first reaction when riding that version and getting to the space scene.
"Oh no! They got rid of 'Tomorrow's Child'!
Wait... This is beautiful!!!"

Still though, Tomorrow's Child ranks a close 2nd favorite behind the Bach score.
