Very cute, but do you have a very wide door? I love the concept....what fun things are you not allowed to do in 1st grade?

Edit: Is there a theme to Read Across America week?
It's a normal size door, which is why I had to make it on a smaller scale. We have to do (or are supposed to do) exactly what the approved curriculums say to do, and the people who wrote the curriculum likely weren't ever teachers because a lot of their activities are not engaging, and they suck.

There is a loose Dr. Seuss theme to Read Across America week, but it's more just celebrating reading in general.

At Subway currently, with the intent of enjoying a quick bite for lunch.

One of the other patrons now dining at this location seems totally incapable of chewing with his mouth closed, and is constantly smacking like livestock. In addition to that pleasantry, he also seems to have a runny nose.

As luck would have it, in this practically empty restaurant, with zero shortage of empty seats, he elects to sit directly behind my table.

So as I type this, my appetite has rapidly gone extinct to the unwanted serenade of: "Smack, sniff, smack, smack, sniff."

With that, I shall take my leave.

Oh, and p.s.
I really hate people.

I'm sorry, but I found this hysterical. :hilarious: (It's the end of the day--I must be over-tired now ;) )

To a lesser extent - when I park at the very edge of the parking lot surrounded by 60 empty spaces and some jackwagon comes and parks next to me.

People are idiots.

Oh, this makes me nutty, too! I always pick the wide open areas of a parking lot (well away from the stores), purposely, to avoid other cars. I do this as a public service. I'm not the best driver, and anyone who parks next to me is taking his/her chances! :p

But the worst is when larger cars like SUVs or pickup trucks park on both sides of my puny car, and I can't see anything, trying to back out of the space. :banghead:

I finished sorting my grandparents photos by decade. Now is going to come the hard part of trying to organize each decade. I enjoy doing it though. I like looking through old pictures. I love this photo of my mom, uncle and grandparents.

Is that a backdrop in a photo studio or are they standing in front if a real tree and house?

My MIL drives me nuts...she's one of those people who purposely parks wonky across 2 spaces so that no one can park next to her, because she doesn't want anyone to accidentally hit her car, or park so close that she can't get back in the car or pull out. I feel like people who do that should get a ticket. If everyone just parked nicely, there would be no problem with it, and you park across 2 spaces and then someone else can't park at all.

I didn’t make the tour guide connection until you pointed it out. It does look a lot like the old ones at Disneyland. I love the style of clothes they’re wearing. But I’m sure you already knew that. :joyfull:

I just noticed in the photo that your mom and your grandmother were wearing blouses with ruffles. That was a trend back then. They both looked nice. :)

You do that here you’ll get your car keyed.

A trend that needs to make a comeback. ;)
Connie, I can see. Grandpa too. Your mom ... not at all!

Yeah, my mom’s appearance has changed the most, but I can still tell it’s her. However, that’s probably, at least partly, because I’m used to seeing old photos of her.
