After a quick search, the lowest egg prices I could find around here were $4.17 for a dozen grade A large white eggs, and $5.69 for 18 of same.
Not really sure why they’re even that high, as we’re not even one of the several states hit hardest by the bird flu…?!
I can still get gas for a decent $2.42/gallon, just down the road.
On a side note, regarding eggs…
One of my Pops cousins had a thriving egg business for about 5 decades. Unfortunately, he passed in ‘21, at the age of 93.
He left the family farm to join the Army in 1950. He got married after the Korean War in 1953, and worked in a machine shop in Dallas for several years, before they decided the “city life” wasn’t for them, and returned to the family farm.
The farm was just down the road from my grandparents.
Anyway, he continued to work with his parents growing crops, but then talked them into letting him use a few acres to set up egg laying henhouses. The egg business took off, they ended up leasing the rest of the crop land to other local farmers, and the rest is history.
Although they didn’t act, or look like it, they were pretty darn well-off.
I remember us visiting with his family on my grandparents front porch when we would go back to Texas every summer, as well as after we moved back to Texas, for many years.
They were really good folks…!!!

Difficult to tell. 3.5 or 4 inches maybe?
Not a huge amount.
I was pleasantly surprised that the 2 hour delay was changed to a full day closing.
I'm going back to bed.

How much snow are you getting? SW Ontario is getting 15-20 cm, but up here of course, we’re in the 20-30 cm range. Potential for freezing rain and ice pellets too.
Mike went back to Brantford on Monday, but is going to hit the highway to come home before noon, to stay ahead of it.

We have more coming Friday afternoon/night into Saturday.So much snow in our parking spots that the able-bodied among us are turfing it over the fence.
