Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

@JenniferS , those were some excellent photos of plaques ( :geek: ) and architecture.

Recalling a story I read once about a widow and her young son. They didn't have much money, but the mother wanted the little boy to be well educated. One thing she did was buy bus fare, and the two of them would ride various bus routes in the city. Along the way, she's point out various buildings and styles of architecture. She also told the boy that when he was walking, to look up--and he'd see some incredible building designs. People tend to just focus on street level, when there are treasures--if you look up. :)

First rule of Advertising is to capture someones attention as fast as you can and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar are all tools no matter how they are used. For example, If they hadn't done all that "against the rules" things, you would have walked on by, paid little attention to it, not taken a photograph and not posted it on social media where literally thousands of people would see the errors, but, at the same time will have seen the advertisement that otherwise they would not have seen. That Ad poster may be a lot more clever then what you think.

Nah, I still think it’s a proofreader’s fault.

That is the direct result from going to a printer who has no graphic designer on site and who just wants to get as much product out the door as possible as quickly as possible without caring about the results.

EDIT: I was in the print/sign business for many years. There are so many hacks out there it's ridiculous.

Guess who dropped a 20-pound bag of dog food all over the kitchen floor at 4:30 AM today?

Up early to wrap gifts, tape up shipping boxes, and affix address labels, so I could take them to UPS, and post office for mailing. (In-laws are out in Colorado--UPS delivers to the mountains. Post office is 50 miles away from where they live--and they only deliver letter mail.) Meanwhile, the other box was for one of my brothers in NC, and he likes U.S. Mail only. (Anything else I can do for anyone?! )

Back to the dog food--in my wrapping frenzy, with the boxes and carp all over the kitchen table--I pushed one box back a little too far (to make room for my coffee  ). Didn't realize that the dog food was close to the back edge of the table. :jawdrop: Splat!

Dog came flying in at warp speed--a feast for a beast. I think he wolfed down about a pound of dog food--before I could scoop the rest of it up. :jawdrop:

How many more days until Christmas?

Much like exercise, no good comes from rising early.

Mark it down.
