Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Ha! A Mary Poppins reference!
Yes, I had to Google it. :hilarious:

Too bad neither one of you is in the U.S., because tonight on tv, (8:00 Eastern) they're showing Mary Poppins.

I would be shunned by my bestie if I didn't understand bajillions of Mary references...Mary is her fave! (I bought her a Mary Kinko POP for Christmas and am going to carve her a replica of Mary's umbrella handle key-chain for her birthday.)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Very classic Disney! I love it and I usually watch Mary Poppins, then Saving Mr. Banks right after.
With very few exceptions, unless I see it on the big screen, I don’t see it.

Once I’ve seen it in the theatre however, I don’t mind watching it at home. This is especially true of Christmas films, and ... wait for it ... Titanic. :hilarious:

40 minutes to go at work and I am desperately trying to stay awake. Hopefully one or the other of the two better Home Alone’s is on Netflix tonight.

Jammies, some soup maybe, and the dysfunctional McCallisters ... sounds like a perfect night.

And maybe finish unpacking ... Mike’s stuff. I did mine last night.

 I don't even know what to say to that!! I grew up on it. Actually the first nightmare I can remember having was about the chimney sweeps. I was only 3 and I dreamed that they were popping in and out of the chimneys like they do in the movie, and they took my mom and I couldn't figure out which chimney to pop into to get back to her. But other than that, it's a lovely movie and I grew up singing the songs.

Back when I was a kid, we only had 12 channels, of which two were either educational or French.

The Wonderful World of Disney played on Sunday nights, but Sunday nights were busy. After church, visiting grandparents, Sunday dinner, it was bath time for four of us. Then my dad washed our hair one by one, at the kitchen sink, and then it was pretty much bedtime. Not a lot of time for two hour movies except for special occasions.

Why I haven’t seen it in the almost forty years since is totally on me. Heck, we even had a VCR from the time I was almost the age of majority. :hilarious:
