According to her mom, the surgery went well and the plastic surgeon doesn't think there will be any scarring...just that it will look like she has a dimple on that side, so that's good. And the swelling is pretty much gone, but but mentally, she's struggling, which I can totally understand. She's written a victim impact statement to read at the trial, but I haven't heard anything about when that will be, or if they will even progress to an actual trial. I guess most of these things just end up being settled without a trial, with a plea bargain or dropped charges. I sure hope they don't drop the charges!

Very glad to hear the physical aspects of the attack on her will be, mostly, resolved.
With any kind of head trauma, especially losing consciousness, you just never know.
I’ll continue to pray for her emotional recovery, as well, and hope the perp gets some serious jail time.
I know that back in the day, men that were in jail for abusing/brutalizing children and women were even considered low-life scum by fellow inmates.
Maybe there are so many of them in prison for stuff like that these days, that it just doesn’t matter anymore…?!
Makes me shudder.
Anyway, thanks for the update, and please continue to do so, if so inclined.

I've been craving Mexican food this week I really want some enchiladas!! We can't really get good Mexican food here, though.

It’s Texas, so we’ve, fortunately, got Mexican/Tex-Mex food (and BBQ) comin’ outta’ our Mexican/Tex-Mex food…!!!!!
Carolyn always orders the cheese enchiladas with ranchero sauce plate. Sorry, no pics of her plate, but maybe that’s for the best…!!!
Carolyn also makes killer beef and cheese enchiladas (her Moms recipe) that are amazing…!!!!!
There are tons of recipes online, so maybe you could find enough ingredients to make some decent ones yourself…?!!!
