When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
$2200 a DAY?

Can I have his job? I'd be out of this abusive and toxic relationship/housing situation and on to a great big beautiful tomorrow in no time flat where people don't throw coffee tables at me.
What do you mean that people are throwing coffee tables at you?
That better be an exaggeration, or I am coming down there to kick someone's a$$!

I get that.
So, sell the metal for scrap. Demo everything. And sell the land.

I dunno, I guess as someone who sells subdivision homes for a living, I am obsessed with land.

25 years ago, an average Brampton/Mississauga lot for a 2500-2800 sq. ft. house was 50' x 110' and the land alone sold for $3,000/front foot.

Now, that same home sits on a 38' x 88' lot which sells for $6000 per ff. Richmond Hill - $7K per. Then the Builder still has to build the house at X number of $ per sq. ft.

Well, you'd have to suggest that to Sixflags.. not to us ;)

Darn I missed it.

Recap?
Pretty simple, peter created a thread about a big mountain of dirt piled next to one of the monorail centers (near epcot I think).
He asked people if they know about whasup.

then everyone started to joke about how the dirt is going to be the new e-ticket, or that there the pile of tears, frustration and dreams that disney destroyed..etc..

peter took it personally and left dramatically.
Interestingly.. it spilled to @WDW1974 's new spirited thread.
The post ended being removed.. but it had nearly 20 pages of pure jokes related to molehills, mountains of dirt.. and other stuff (including the cameo of Captain Sparrow's jar of dirt)

Figured as much.
Sounds like your typical internet drama queen's banner thing.. "Leaving the internets FOREVER"
then to come back in 15 minutes.

Peter got mad? That's unusual for him.
He takes a lot of abuse. Especially over those "monorail footers".
Well, I think he took way too many messages personally, not only in that thread.. he fired a few rounds at other posted and he came back.
both were arguing for 2 days about "who started it".

I read them too some were comically brilliant. I think we've all at times asked things and the humor wins.

It does crack me up when members have so much to say to others yet can't take it in return. A small portion have to be coddled and treated with White Mickey Gloves and if that doesn't happen they are so fragile that they have to leave or 'ignore' members. I've had plenty of members on this forum and others say something stupid and most members are adult enough to move on others not so much. Yet they are entertaining with their convictions. I am always impressed with the general lack of maturity in similar situations that persist in embracing petty slights. So much fun.

Great for giggles though. :hilarious:
Agree, but sometimes certain groups can attack you like you murdered their family or something.
poor @pheneix had to endure the same attack for weeks. The other dude just couldn't LET IT GO.

So, the owner came into the office on Tuesday night (my day off) and G. got to talking with him.

Pumped up what a good job we had done selling out so quickly, that hopefully Phase II can open and sell out quickly so that we can move to the next big site (let's call it Apple, for now).

Oh yeah, he says, Jennifer and I have earned Apple. We blew this site out, and we can blow Apple out too. We've EARNED Apple, he said at least a dozen times!

I already know we are not getting Apple. Blowing out one site and earning a truckload of money pretty much guarantees that the next big site goes to someone else. DUH!

Anyway, the Boss (Sales & Marketing Manager) asked me to figure out how much money G. made on this site.

Get this:
He didn't type a single deal.
Didn't get a single one signed.
Did zero brick selections or amendments.
Left early more often than not.
Did not go to H.O. even once.
Did not present a single deal.
Did not negotiate a single deal.
Did not deal with any of the guff from the Builders.
Would not return phone calls.
Could not return emails.

He basically worked as my "Support Staff", as he has in the past. A position which pays $150/day.

Instead, as my full-fledged partner, he earned $2200/day worked. And he thinks we've EARNED Apple. Geesh!

To resume, he is just a big fat leech and then claims part of the credit of the NOTHING he did to support the cause?

Funny thing about Prom.
Son #2 is taking the same girl that Son #1 took last year.

Going "Family style" on her, eh?

My department is actually having a picnic - officially a "retreat" - at a park near the George Bush Center for Intelligence.

Remember political commentary is not allowed on this site. :cautious:

Center for Intell.... no, you're right. No political commentary. But is this allowed?

     :hilarious: :hilarious: :arghh: :arghh: :arghh: :bored:

The coffee table got thrown in the past few days and.. there's drama. I don't really want to get all public with it, but it's not a pretty place that I'm in right now. This site is my retreat :)

Someday someone is going to write a Bio of Meg and I will likely read it. Spending almost her whole adult life working for the Mouse and becoming management pretty early on. She is 60ish so she likely won't be working that much more.

But what really intrigues me about her is she has a chronic illness that has plagued her for the last 30 or so years that she refused to give into. It is said that she is in acute pain 24/7 and at one time Disney changed her job description so she didn't need to fly nearly as frequently. While some of the photos of Meg are hilarious I look at some of videos of her and you can see while she is with other 'shirts' she plows through the day fighting through the pain. Her speaking engagements are mostly for business and woman's groups, speaks to accepting what was dealt to you and plowing through it. Her career started when women were just breaking into real management careers at Disney, there were few before her. When her career ends it will be an amazing look back at what she was able to do with her life despite her illness.

I applaud anyone who fights, pushes through, and perseveres against crappy odds. Kudos to her for that.
That being said, I will still BM whenever I feel it is appropriate based on her business decisions, and jokes related to such.
Sounds to me like you've described a big girl that can take it.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I hafta' BM...

;)
