I get that.
So, sell the metal for scrap. Demo everything. And sell the land.

I dunno, I guess as someone who sells subdivision homes for a living, I am obsessed with land.

25 years ago, an average Brampton/Mississauga lot for a 2500-2800 sq. ft. house was 50' x 110' and the land alone sold for $3,000/front foot.

Now, that same home sits on a 38' x 88' lot which sells for $6000 per ff. Richmond Hill - $7K per. Then the Builder still has to build the house at X number of $ per sq. ft.

Woof on top of woof for lot prices of that size!!!
I'm curious to know what is approx., average, "sticks-n-bricks" builder cost on those lots...?

Those are GTA prices. Where I live, prices are less than half that.
Years ago, construction costs ran $100 per sq. ft.
We don't even try to calculate that any more.

They're runnin' between (again, sticks and bricks) $200-$300/sq. ft. around here these days on the home designs we produce. At $250/sq. ft., the design I started today is 1.25 million just for S&B construction.
I think the lot alone (hill country views, etc.) was about $750,000.

I can't even begin to fathom that kind of jack...

It was 94 degrees here today. I kinda' thought it might be pretty hot when I went to get in my car to leave the office this afternoon...
Opening the car door was like opening an oven door. Had to let it vent for a bit. Still, seat belt, stick shift, and steering wheel all burned me. I gave up my parking garage space to another associate 'cause they bought a new car, and Lilly Dimples has pretty much seen her better days.
Sorry, Lilly... :(
Now, they just better hope I don't get that new car I have my eye on anytime soon...

;)
