This is what I get to look forward to. Good thing I don't have to go anywhere tonight, but I do tomorrow unless schools get cancelled.

It could have to do with the age difference...or just a difference in comedic tastes. I guess when it comes out on DVD, I'll have to see what my mom thinks; she'll be 48. I think he was necessary. He was the connection between Anna and Elsa, and when Elsa saw he was alive, she realized how powerful she was. As far as the animation, I really didn't notice it.
Very well put. I don't think it's an age thing at all. Being 43, (at least for a few more days), I did find the humor entertaining. Olaf was that comedic touch to the pair such as Mushu was to Mulan or Pascal added to Tangled. Without him they wouldn't have found the ice castle and he was the one to save Anna from being locked up. :)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Must be me, then.
Again, I know Olaf was included for the enjoyment of the kiddies.
I just found his humour to be too sophomoric in what was an otherwise very mature, brilliantly animated film.

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
When growing up our folks use to take us out of school from the beginning of March til the middle of April and we went down and stayed in our home away from home in Ft. Lauderdale. On the way down one year when I was small my Dad said hey, we're near the new Disneyland, we should stop and look at it.

Well that is exactly what he meant. He bought 2 adult and 2 children ticket booklets. We walked around at it all, rode Small World, Carousel and then pronounced OK we saw it now we gotta get going if we are going to make Ft. Lauderdale by night fall. Two very unhappy little girls that were taken to the New Disneyland to look around, literally.

Didn't stop there, but made two trips to the Textbook Center because I forgot one at home. Easily confused.

Blah! Hate textbooks. My DS University had a fee for rental which was very reasonable. But you actually have to return the dang things Son.

DD University you have to buy your own. She has gone to renting them, they deliver and give you a free sticker to UPS or FedEx them back at end of semester. Better. This semester she actually downloaded over half of her textbooks onto her Kindle. Even Better.

Follett one of the biggest distributors of Text Books, pulled out of the University of Illinois last spring and sold their building. Sign of the times, renting and downloading or buying text books used off Facebook or Ebay.
DD also got a few off Amazon. Spending a little time on line saved thousands of Text Book dollars.

DD bought a lot of hers online through Amazon and DS was as able to just download some of his, but some of his classes required 5 or 6 books per semester. I'm so glad that's behind us now.
