Meeting recruiters, I often wonder how they get their jobs? And then when I see them, I realize the reason why. It's not because of their smarts, and yes, some might be smart. Reporters too for news and sports tv. I have met only one male recruiter and he was in his 50s so I can't comment on that one.

PS. I know the difference between their, there and they're but I just get so confused when I use them sometimes so if I mess up sometimes, that is the reason why.

I hear that echoed by my DD. She is currently on interview #4 for this same position, ironically a recruiters position. Each person played a different role. What they are looking for is different with each person and position. My DS girlfriend works in Human Resources, Casting, it is funny to hear what they look for and what will get you dismissed for each type of position. I would not necessarily put strong belief in their lack of smarts. My DD came out of a well ranked University and the gentleman that picked her resume out of the pile is also from the same University. They both had to be smart just to get accepted there in the first place. Never know what will make them pull your resume out of a pile. Trying to figure it out will drive anyone batty.

I feel for you, @Soarin' Over Pgh and my DD. It is a frustrating process in economic times that make it so competitive. I'll continue to send y'all good Karma and prayers.

My DD and I are bringing Walter to a Halloween party for Pups at a Seniors Center in a few days.

Let me be clear: obviously it is a personal choice. I do not find people who choose to get tattoos to be horrible people or bad in any way. What I'm saying is that in the professional world, it does cause some judgements if they are clearly visible regardless of the reason why you initially got the tattoo.

I personally do not think it looks good. I would never get one myself. I don't think it looks good. They can be costly to remove and are basically permanent. Getting one on a whim is easily something I as a young person could do and then really end up regretting. Hence, I will never get something as permanent as a tattoo.

However, I realize that not everyone shares my view of the matter. I treat everyone with kindness and decency regardless of what they look like. If I weren't to do so, that would reflect poorly on me. So while I don't think tattoos are a great idea, there is no way that I would treat anyone differently just because they have a tattoo.
Agreed. I was just sharing my opinion on the other side of the tattoo spectrum.

Update 5: They are now all inhabiting my ceiling.

It has been raining non-stop up here in New England! I'm used to it, and dont particularly dislike it, but enough is enough! Especially when it could flood:(:p My power even went out for three hours this morning!!:arghh:

it's too hot for the fall though. Me don't like it. At least, the rain is not like this again. This is a mall btw.

just saying.. dont try to be too picky or you will never find a job.

Oh, trust me, I'm not being picky. But there's no sense in applying for a job that I will need to get a second job immediately just to cover my bills. I've thought this all over.

There's only one thing left to do.... Set the house on fire.
