Well, it's definitely fall again. Last year and this year, crickets come in the basement. Then the cat goes down there and goes hunting. The problem is that she doesn't dispose of them completely, so I keep having to go down and vacuum these dead crickets that my cat has played with to death. So gross.

Who's Gina? :)

That's autocorrects new name. :cautious:

The interview went well. Not excited about the hours (three late evenings a week) but I need a job.

Phone interview tomorrow. I'm excited. Hope to impress and get a face to face immediately. It's in an area I'm familiar with and ...to be frank, safer, than the job I interviewed for today.

It sucks that I have to factor in the winter, but when you live in a very hilly and ...treacherous terrain, the winter storms have to be factored in. The job I interviewed for would be very difficult to get to in a storm, and nearly impossible with icy roads....especially with three late nights. If I get this job, great, but I willl continue looking.

The phone interview tomorrow is in a much, much better place and has solid 8:30-5 hours. Preferable, by far.

Anyhow, we will see what happens tomorrow. I should know by the end of the week where I stand with several companies.

Craft show Saturday. Who's coming?

Thinking of taking ice skating this coming semester. I need a PE credit, my school is offering it at the ice rink located near them, it fits in with my schedule, and it's pretty easily adaptable with my asthma to work with (unlike the other options that fit my schedule, which are basically are aerobics and circuit training. Nope). Only concern is the weak ankle...

My DD took skating as her PE credit too, I think her last semester, they have a rink on campus. She actually learned to skate. I skated from young and being a gymnast I had ankle issues too. The skates offer quite a bit of support, especially after you are taught a few things so you are not flopp'n around the ice like a die'n fish.

Is anyone sick of the media talking about ebola 24/7. :banghead: And Obama cancelled a trip here because of it. :joyfull:

Yep, went from Isis to Ebola. I caught his press conference, talking about kissing health care workers and shaking their hands, I got what he was attempting to convey however it just didn't come off proper.

My ankle ended up really sore when I did it in WDW, but with some instruction, it would probably be less sore.

I'm taking a class on diseases this semester. The other day, the professor was covering a lab and arrived late to class (it's a 3 hour class, no big deal). Before she even got there, the class was having a debate over Ebola.

I know it's a really bad thing in some countries, but honestly, I think we're panicking about it too much here. The only way to get it is through bodily fluids. When someone has it, they put that person into quarantine. A few healthcare workers have gotten it, but they probably broke procedure. And really, the reason that it's spread so quickly in these African countries is because they have poor hygiene and their burial rituals involve washing the bodies and coming into a lot of contact with them. I think it's good that we're being cautious here and taking precautions, but I'd be more worried about the entero virus in children and even diseases that we're used to, such as the flu, pneumonia, and others, than this case of Ebola.
