I have a soft spot for dune, not because of the book, the movies or the series.Funny, I never been afraid of the thought of sandworms. I guess I love the Dune series too much
It's always worth asking and I certainly would love Austin. I could see myself living there quite easily. It actually has a lot in common with Pittsburgh, but better air quality and weather!
@donaldtoo
I'll definitely update you with progress...as this is slated to be completed by spring and open for business by summer! PNC doesn't screw around!
As for the green thing, I think, since pittsburgh was once known for having the worst air quality in the world due to steel mills, that some companies are trying to make the distinction by building green. The leaders here are definitely pnc...one of their huge buildings is already LEED certified to the highest level, another was retrofitted for certification, and yet another skyscraper has an edible garden and reclaimation setup on the roof with a giant living logo(garden) on the side of it. It's really something to see. I think I've posted it before, but here it is again....
For scale, each glass pane on the left is 10 feet tall.
Another big name in going green is my favorite place, Phipps conservatory. They recently built a LEED building and wind milled an entire hillside...they do a lot to show their "green" side, aside from the actual green plants
pittsburghs air quality still isn't great, but it's light years better than how it was in the past.
This is the famous "taken at 9 am" photo from the 1948.
Yeah...it's much better now.
But of the game.
DUNE 2 was my first real time strategic game right along with Warcraft I !
and I used to play it in a measly 286 33Mhz with turbo button.
