Sorry your language skills are not at my level, but it's never too late to learn! :p

We just have a better vocabulary. We are, after all, New "England". I have a book about the RI accent and it's so funny. Written by a Chicagoan too. Well, was from Chicago. I have an accent but not a strong one.

And I know this is political but don't shoot me. Buddy Cianci. Look him up and you be like WTH!

@donaldtoo , you'll appreciate this one. ;) Today was a retirement party for one of our nurses at work, and you should have seen the hors d'oeuvres in the conference room. We had scallops wrapped in bacon, mini chicken taco squares, baked Brie in puff pastry, steak teryaki on skewers, assorted fruit tray, crackers and cheese, and a big sheet chocolate cake with white frosting. This wonderful food diversion :hungry: :hungry: made a Monday almost tolerable! :joyfull:

Good grief!!!
Right after "...scallops wrapped in bacon,..." I swooned for the second time tonight...!!!!! :hungry: :joyfull: ;) :)

Was just reading the thread on the TSM thing. I think what's bothering me the most are people's grammar mistakes. I mean, I don't mind typos quite so much. I have trouble spelling too. But mistakes like the difference between weather and whether and their, there, and they're are REALLY bothering me.

I'm turning into a grammar Nazi. Help me!!!!:bawling:

What made you expect things to devolve into an "us vs. them" situation in the first place?
Yummy! I'll bet your church attendance is very high every Sunday with all the holy, (and "hungry") people! ;)
churches are usually full on sundays.

the youngers of course, do not care much about that. They just want to be out as fast they can so they can get some snacks, then maybe a small "antojitos" restaurant for classic mexican stuff.

Haha. I too am getting a new cell phone this week. Not an iPhone as those are not offered on my no contract plan and I'm not paying that much to get an unlocked model. I ordered an HTC off Amazon for under $200. Seeing as how my phone completely drained its battery overnight and I've been on the phone with ATT twice this weekend, who said that they've been receiving a lot of error messages from my phone, I'm quite anxious to get that new phone
I envy you guys for getting insane discounts on cell phones.
We still need to suck it and pay full price most of the time :(

imagine paying 700 USD for a phone.. That is WITH FORCED 2 YEAR CONTRACT.

without plan.. the iphone 5s is 1,100 USD and the samsung galaxy S5 1,150 USD.

Wow, I never imagined they did such parties in the US.

Here they usually wave good bye as they kick the "retired" out of the door to hire a young kid as fast they can lol.
