In honour of Lesley's last dinner with us, I will be doing a full turkey dinner tomorrow.
Canadian Thanksgiving is actually next weekend.

Anyone think I can get away with counting tomorrow's meal as our Thanksgiving dinner? Keep in mind, Thanksgiving is a pretty low-key affair up here compared to your celebrations.

Two full turkey dinners, two weekends in a row is a bit much, doncha think?

No. Sounds just about right to me. :D :hungry:

@Soarin' Over Pgh , your crafts are amazing!! I knew you had talent from pix you've posted in the past, but seeing everything displayed so nicely on the craft table really showed me a range of your creative skill. I love a good craft fair; sometimes around the Christmas season, there are some fairs at local churches, and some larger ones in bigger convention venues in the city. People really appreciate homemade crafts. We're sick of all the mass produced carp out there; and it's so refreshing and uplifting, to see items that someone actually took the time to make from scratch. I know you'll sell quite a few items, and I wish you much success.

A man I know grew up in Germany. He makes the most heavenly cookies, just like the ones in your recipe, but he pulverizes hazelnuts. OMG . . . these cookies are so delicious. I like your version as well; I imagine a variety of different nuts would work. (I'll take these cookies any way I can get them! :hilarious: )

@JenniferS. Simple solution. Next weekend have a Prime Rib dinner. Turkeys and Cattle all are part of nature and the fixin's are as well. I don't know about up in Canada, but, down here in the states, if the Pilgrims had been able to shoot themselves a tender cow, Prime Rib would be the choice of them all.
