Accouting today: Professor goes over chapter that we haven't yet read. Recipe for confussion. As I'm sitting there just trying to follow, he starts asking us questions. He goes around the room as he's showing us the problem, and then he gets to me and asks me, "And what does this all mean?" To which I said, "I'm sorry; I honestly don't know; I'm very confused and just trying to follow you." He looks back at the question and then says, "Well, I guess that is kind of far out for you guys right now; we can be done for now." Can't believe that actually worked and he didn't make me answer the question.

Yeah. That's me. Any way, when I get a presentable draft going of my screenplay, I would like to get everyone's input. It won't be for a while, unless I just write it nonstop one night. I got an idea!

In my advanced screenwriting class, we would write about 20 pages at a time and have a group discussion about it. Why don't I do that? Write 20 pages and post it and discuss it, write another 20 pages, etc. until it's done. The ongoing input would drive me to finish it!

I was thinking about something in relation to your thoughts above. There's got to be all kinds of forums out there on the internet (similar to this one, but about many different topics). What if you scouted out a forum about screenwriting, or something along those lines? Maybe you might get more professional feedback about your work, from those people, which might be more helpful to you. :)

It's always good to associate with like-minded enthusiasts in the same field of interest, as that can open doors for you. For example, tonight I aligned myself with my dog's keen sense of smell, to assist me on the hunt (in the refrigerator  . . . )to find something delicious for dinner. Success! I opened the refrigerator, and he barked at the cooked chicken, on the bottom shelf. Chicken it is! (He was very excited with our mutual decision.) I then nuked up some rice and green beans. See how collaboration amongst professionals works?! It might work for you, too, with your screenwriting drafts. ;)

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
honestly, it felt colder in tracy's arm.. now thats cold!!!

I really wished I could touch the snow.. but honestly.. I was barely an hour and half in the airport..
just got out of Vancouver 30 minutes late, we barely reached the plane before it started to de-plane (they were in last call).
funnily.. not 5 minutes after the tunnel was removed.. they announced all the planes MUST get antifreeze because it was starting to snow with freezing rain (there were some planes with their wings completely sealed in ice!)

they dusted them with a orange chemical, then with a green one.
It was fun to see!.
after most planes were all "showered". they started to depart one after another in succession.
Welcome to Canada.
De-icing is SOP for up to 6 months/year.

This current Calgary snowstorm is not usual, however.
We're all talking about it.

Going to a cool place - they actually have camp sites with round pens for the horses! Should be a good time and the bugs will be gone by then!

That sounds great, and very different. What a fun vacation! It's wonderful when the bugs go away, too. It makes everything you do so much more enjoyable. I've hiked in various mountains of New England; and by far, the fall season is the most pleasant with cool/cold crisp weather and no buggies!! ;)

So true. Why worry so much about something we have no control over? :geek:

Yep, have always taught our kiddos as we were taught...
Life will throw enough carp at you that you have no control over.
Be as reasonably diligent as you can in taking care of the things you can control, so you're as prepared as possible for the other.
Also, don't forget how absolutely valuable a sense of humor (especially when it comes to the ability to laugh at your own darn self ;)) is and to enjoy and get joy from life whenever you can. :)
