Yesterday was a high of 91, today it's 66 cold and rainy. Yep, good day for a nap.

It got up to 97 here today.
I can start to cool off now, please.

I've visited Montreal many times, and also lived in TO for a year. I've been back to TO periodically since leaving there in1982, and, imo, things have gone downhill. I haven't been to Montreal recently, but when I was there in the 70s I had my first run in with the Russian mafia.

Oh, mom!!! You have a most intriguing past life. You must share it with us sometime. The biggest concern that I ever had in Montreal during the 70's was the Parti Québécois. I did have an encounter (peaceful) with the Boston mafia one time. Two actually, one in the 60's and a different one in the 90's. We should compare notes.

I should have stated my first and only run in with them. Losing a coat was a cheap price to pay - and I had another back at my hotel. It was lifetime ago - and I was bit wild in my day.

We had dinner with some friends tonight. We (mostly DWifey ) helped them plan their first-ever trip to WDW.
They had a blast!!!

100,000 homes have had their power restored after yesterdays horrid storms, nasty wind. CommEd says hopefully most of the other 65,000+ will have theirs restored by the end of the weekend.

Another difference between Canadians and Americans.

We call it "hydro".

Either way, sucks when you lose it.

Hottest day of the summer yesterday. Today, I am wrapped in a blankie, contemplating shutting windows.
Current temp - 13 degrees. That's about 55 to you.

Yep, even though it hasn't been as crazy-hot this summer, it's still been pretty darn toasty. 55 sounds really good about right now. 45 sounds even better, actually.
