Why anyone lamented the loss of it at WDW is beyond me. It was so cheap looking. Cardboard cutouts painted dayglo colors.

I never saw the WDW version, but I do love the DL one. Even if it's cheap looking.

Hopefully it'll get a fantastic update with the dl60 dark ride initiative. Alice in wonderlands ride looks great from what I've seen in pics and videos.

I'm torn on those Fantasyland antiquated dark rides current and former. I took my final spin on Snow before she closed and was OK with it departing but objected to closing a ride for yet another meet and greet. Toad was cute but I had a bond with Pooh so I thought I was OK with that. I am still disappointed on how little Disney did with the Pooh attraction in the MK. That attraction should have been better like Pooh Tokyo:

But I'll take a Meh Pooh at the MK over a meet and greet over a ride. As popular as Peter Pan is (I fail to get it) it could use some modernization too along with a much better load ratio.

I have some awesome pictures of them dressed up over the years. Very formal and adorable. One year when she was 9 years old she was in a full leg cast. Spiff'd up the cast and they danced the night away with her in his arms (or so goes the story 'cause this Mom wasn't there!)

Mother Son bowling, well that did nothing for me.
My daughter's first year of school they decided to have separate father/daughter and mother/son dances instead of an all school dance. They got a real backlash because it HAD to be the child's actual parent, not a grandparent, not an aunt or uncle, so children in a single parent home or living with a guardian weren't supposed to attend. (I took my daughter to the movies instead.) After that year they changed back to the everyone together format and attendance doubled.

I'd like to pinch the people who made that cruel decision real hard.

It rained all day here yesterday. And apparently, during the night.

I was picking tomatoes earlier and you can see my footprints smushing the grass down. It's very damp out there. Made for easy picking, though.

It's quite humid, so I'm expecting more rain soon.
Yes, it is sooo humid. Haven't had that all summer but it looks like the rain skimmed right over us and got you.
