I'm not a fan of the practice of Disney selling products to remember the attractions they chose to close.

Still at DLR. We last rode it in June of '10. :)

Overheard in a Disney Boardroom:
"This is AWESOME!!! Close the darn thing, and we STILL generate income from it...!!! :joyfull:"

I love tacos, but I don't want any fish in my tacos. If the fish was served separately on a plate, I'd eat it. None of my "explanation" will make any sense to anyone, but moi.

I love bacon. I love hamburgers. Don't mix the two and put them on a bun. I have lots of strange food quirks.

Look at the picture again. See those little fishies behind the taco? They are for you tonight if you show up!

Yes, I would like that fish on the plate behind the tacos! (I can also bring to the feast my homemade turkey chili, which is in the crockpot as I type this. It will be ready at 7 p.m. (Eastern). I wonder if I'll have enough time to put it in a travel container at 7, and then make it on time for dinner at your house? ;)

My daughter's first year of school they decided to have separate father/daughter and mother/son dances instead of an all school dance. They got a real backlash because it HAD to be the child's actual parent, not a grandparent, not an aunt or uncle, so children in a single parent home or living with a guardian weren't supposed to attend. (I took my daughter to the movies instead.) After that year they changed back to the everyone together format and attendance doubled.

That part in red up there is just sooo absolutely, and completely dumbfounding to me.
How that ever even got past an idiot thought tossed on the table in some initial meeting just defies all logic, to me anyway...?!

Even if I flew it would still be over 6 hours for me as I would have to fly to Atlanta or Charlotte then to Orlando!

Oh Dear! DH had to connect through Atlanta once. Never again. I will pay so much more for a non-stop.
I was going to Nola once and the only way they could get me there was to fly to Texas and then to Connecticut and Connecticut to Nola. It was nearing Spring Break. Hmpf. As I worked for an airline for many years my tolerance was still low and my response was Stop It, Just Stop. o_O

Welcome to my world. I can't multiquote the proper way. When the box comes up the very bottom of the box is off the screen so I can't see or view the commands and click so I just keep hitting the reply button to collect mutiquotes.

Oh my . . . that's advanced. :coldfeet: This might take me a while to process. I'm definitely missing the computer geek gene.

On another matter, I am eating chocolate-covered blueberries from Maine. They're yummy! :hungry:

You are so right. In this day and age, it does boggle the mind how a school district could have been so unenlightened . . . :banghead:

I am glad they changed the rule to a more sane one, after this debacle.

Note: By the way, we never had a father/daughter dance in my school. Maybe it was more of a regional event, in other parts of the country, perhaps.
I've never heard of such a thing either.

Hope it's OK to post a few pics...?
I'd start a TR, but, it was only a day trip...! ;)

Anyway...

Robert Campbell is a distant relative on DWifey's fathers side of the family that died fighting at the Alamo.

No pictures are allowed inside the Alamo sanctuary. It is a shrine.
Also, all buildings in downtown SA are designed so that they never cast a shadow on the sanctuary.
It's amazing how small it is in person right?

An old friend of both my DD and DS was on the front page of a major paper in N. IL yesterday for her work with dolphins in Clearwater. She was doing an internship during the filming of Dolphin Tale. She had two years of college under her belt and took an unpaid internship. At a wrap party with Clearwater, cast and crew they received a call for a down dolphin and its baby. The film crew actually got to see and film a genuine rescue. While the Mom was a goner the baby Hope was saved.

Their friend is almost done with her degree has been back at Clearwater for a while and is one of the trainers for baby Hope, part of Dolphin 2. We got to look at photo's of her in the water with the baby dolphin. So fun. This girl is putting herself through college on her own so I am so proud of her. When she did her internship she had to ride a bike through the woods at night 7 miles cause she couldn't afford a car. She let nothing stand in her way of working with dolphins her childhood dream. Quite a young woman by age 23.
