Generally I don't care for the back formation of adding modern to historical. In this case I love it. Go figure me.

Yep, one of the rare cases for myself, as well. For me, it is the placement in respect to the proximity of the vastly different styles to each other that works in this case.
Although, it could also be argued, to a lesser degree IMO, that the glass walls of the conservatory in relation to the classic Dutch Gothic style of HM is of a similar nature, juxtapositionally.

SQUIRREL!!!!!

:D ;) :)

Yep, tree-huggers list. For some reason, they're not very fond of those kinds of "surprises" when they go to hug a tree...! ;) :)
Using God's port'o'potty though can get you put on a list if you get caught.

I'm all for the perv's going on the list but all the 'other' things that are thrown at the 'list' are a stretch and not what was intended to safeguard a community.

That said, we have a lovely hilly park that is about 2 square blocks, huge gazebo and war memorial, swan house pond and lots of trees big and small. It is in the heart of town and all the paths are concrete. I was on one path with Walt and 150 feet or so away was a grandpa pushing is toddler grand daughter in a stroller. Then he stopped left stroller on sidewalk walked back about 20 feet went off the path and peed on a tree. Out of sight of granddaughter but in plain sight of everyone and those on the road about 15 feet away. Proceeded to zip up and continued to push her in the park. I still see him multiple times a week going through the park-it will never leave my mind.

You could come join us! Ya know, be an Orioles fan, eat some steamed crabs, become a Ravens fan, develop that great B-more accent where we "warsh our dishes in the zinc with wooter?"

Though I am from Baltimore, I do not have the accent. I do not warsh my dishes, I wash them. The accent is not a requirement of living here.

Were your folks from Baltimore?

The Packers have been incredibly lucky with the QBs they've had. Bart Starr, Lynn Dickey, Don Majkowski (would've been better until the injury that brought Favre into the spotlight), Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers. The 70s and 80s were sad, though, Dickey was the QB, but the rest of the team was awful. I think there were 4 winning seasons in 20 years.

Sidebar-What kind of parents name a kid Lynn Dickey?

How fun, lucky you. I loved the Poly. I'm doubting I will like it as much as the original. I understand the CH needed major work but I would have been happier if they leveled the darn place and rebuilt it the same way, only fixing the things like the volcano pool that keeps sinking and then add a whirlpool, it should have one. A replica of what is there would have been acceptable. Ruining the shoreline view, will likely push many guests to other Deluxe resorts. Most DVC owners won't be able to afford the points to vacation in those bungalows that went vertical when I was down there. To ruin the view for so many for the few units there will be, don't get it.

Yeah he Tikiman has lots of info and he seems to have good sources. What I grasp vs some of these folks don't is just because it is a 100% doesn't mean some Disney figure head isn't going to pull or put off a project at the last minute. Imagination was to go down right after the 1st of the year, it didn't. CMs had new schedules that were revised when the project was pulled. It happens often.

Glad we got our last pics in front of the water feature before 'Ohana dinner in June of '13.

As to that last part, yep. Same used to happen at TDS all the time. We'd get internal info in regards to a new product, promotion, in-store event, etc. that would then later be modified, postponed, or canned altogether ALL the time. It happens.

It made a lovely avatar for a few days.
It is also my current iPhone wallpaper.

I don't have iPhone wallpaper.

I have a Reedy Creek firetruck on Main Street with lights a flashing while putting out the fire in Tommorowland for my Twitter wallpaper. Does that count?

For the record, I was just making a joke about a "tree-hugger" goin' to hug a tree and finding "wet" (as in weewee - insert pig meme here ;)), or worse, on the tree...

Glad all branches of Disney is so indecisive. Brings new meaning to the tree of life.

Water feature was still there in spring so I got one last gawk. Went out to look at volcano pool too after Tonga Toast cause I doubt that will be the same either.

It's amazing how you can connect people to each other so easily in small, rural regions. Just found out today that my friend's girlfriend (the one that I've mentioned here before) knows who my cousin is and is friend's with her friend's girlfriend (if that makes sense). But I guess my cousin didn't realize that her friend and my friend's girlfriend's friend broke up a week ago.

PS- I might have just added that last sentence to confuse you guys a little more.

You know that feeling when you book a hotel room for your next vacation and it makes it 'real'? Well I got that feeling. Just booked our room for next August at the Hilton Anaheim. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to stay there but it all worked out. :D

I've stayed at the one that is about a block away from DL it is really nice, has an Epcot feel to it. The Hilton convention center is way cool too but a very good walk away.
