Runaway LA County tortoise tried to make a break for it but was captured by police making its way down 6th street.

"It took two officers to take this guy into custody because it weighs about 150 pounds (and our cuffs . . . well not practical in this situation)."
they should have let him go, He probably wanted to flee and suicide-jump in some bridge after seeing the michael bay's version of teenate mutant ninja turtles!

It's amazing how you can connect people to each other so easily in small, rural regions. Just found out today that my friend's girlfriend (the one that I've mentioned here before) knows who my cousin is and is friend's with her friend's girlfriend (if that makes sense). But I guess my cousin didn't realize that her friend and my friend's girlfriend's friend broke up a week ago.

PS- I might have just added that last sentence to confuse you guys a little more.

That just made my head hurt. My son went to 3rd grade and a girl into'd herself to him as his cousin. We knew nobody in my little Hamlet when we move here, a goal. Sure enough a relation to my DH, got to know the Mom, nice lady.

Then we were at our Summerfest in July, we were eating in the huge huge tent. Some lady I've never ever seen at any family event of my DHs and there has been a lot...comes up to him and says you're so and so right? He says yeah, and they are some distant cousin. How the heck she picked him out of all these people is beyond me. I asked her how she was related to him and she couldn't tell me, finally I asked which side of DH family.

And then over to the other ocean side........

new-york-post-grab-cropped-1-942x530.jpg

A man dressed as Spider-Man has been arrested in New York's Times Square after allegedly punching a police officer who told him to stop harassing tourists.
sounds something like the amazing spiderman movie version...
where he had to attack the police officers to save the world.

thanks god I'm no in NYC to test if I turn into a lizard ;)

I love when @tikiman brings us news. Always reliable without fuss or drama. Appreciated.

I dont think tikiman brings the drama with his leaks.

The people who hates him or question him all the time (probably Disney Staff in disguise?) are the ones who generate the drama!

I've met people at college that I went to elementary school with in a completely different town. I met one person who was a year ahead of me, and one person who is in the same grade as me, but we never had the same teachers. Didn't know who either were. Then the other night at work a coworker was checking me out on my break, and when my name popped up it clicked that she knew my brother and actually works with him and has several classes with him. She also knew a couple people I do, because they went to the same school across the state, and I met them in classes here.

My friend who moved to Wyoming has a cousin who hung out with us once, and I asked him where he went to school and what year he was. Turns out he's classmates with my cousin. So weird.

The real irony here is that the virus has an incubation period, before symptoms present. What "toupee man" doesn't seem to realize, is that there's not just 2 people with the virus coming here. There may be others who have already flown here recently (and to other countries as well) that could also be infected—but neither they, nor anyone else, even realizes that possibility yet. We're living in a fast-paced, global world nowadays. The hospital where I work has recently posted internal guidelines and protocols concerning the virus.
I think we all agree that Mr. Trump should focus on his apprentice program, bankrupting his companies and then fixing them after getting hefty loans from his billionaire friends.

their show is super popular so no surprise.
Friends made a fine example of the entire cast getting together to leverage their salaries.

It was really smart. Ross was originally suppose to be the star of the show and instead they opted not to have a star, likely what held the show together. It was an issue with Everyone Loves Raymond especially early on. Most of the cast wanted to put the newbie actors head in the toilet. I liked how all the Friends made equal money. They got kicked in the shins many times for only having diversity in friendships by religion. You will notice that their temporary friends and some of their bosses in the later years were more diverse to try and balance that out.

I have 43 first cousins. Most of which I've never met.
I have 6 first cousins, all of which I have met. No cousin's on my dad's side - his sister never got married or had kids. My mom has three sisters, all of which had two kids.
Hmmmmm.....
That pic looks VERY familiar... ;) :)
Did you post that same one before? I thought it was just the picture without the BLT part that was posted.

Yes, but, without the verbiage, that's why I was just teasing that the pic looked familiar...! ;) :)

Ross being the least interesting friend probably hurt him being the star as well.
