Wow. This quiz about "Where are you in the USA?" was actually accurate. Must. Contain. Surprise.

Can We Guess Where In The USA You Actually Live?
  1. You got: The Mid-Atlantic
You’re rough, tough, and love playing the underdog. You love sports, winning, and competition in general (that’s what happens when you live in or close to a city), but also know how to kick back and enjoy a day at the beach. But most of all, what matters to you is family.

I got: The South.
Close enough. ;) :)

Not so much that they were a dysfunctional team, but it's just a much bigger media market over there. Some people like it, some don't. And with the players, towards the end of the season when Favre suffered that elbow injury I remember players like Thomas Jones making comments about him. He never really had that in Green Bay.

I've seen MANY players come and go, in all 4 major sports (NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL), that were outstanding players both before and after their stint in NY. During...not so much. It's hard living in such a large market - when your team signs or trades for a player, the first thought is, "but can they play in NY"? The answer, unfortunately, is usually, "no". Exceptions to that: Derek Jeter, Mark Messier and Eli Manning, to a degree. I thought NY was going to destroy Eli - but he doesn't let it bother him. And the fans/media are ruthless.

Favre wasn't bad until his elbow injury. From there the Jets went from being one of the best teams that year to completely missing the playoffs.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

He was awesome for the Jets. Best QB we had since Boomer Esiason and Boomer was on some of the worst Jets teams ever so that barely counts. The elbow injury was awful. That punt he threw was one of the worst passes I have ever seen. Didn't mean to say he was one of the players that couldn't play here. Just meant he didn't seem to like the attention.

You could come join us! Ya know, be an Orioles fan, eat some steamed crabs, become a Ravens fan, develop that great B-more accent where we "warsh our dishes in the zinc with wooter?"

Though I am from Baltimore, I do not have the accent. I do not warsh my dishes, I wash them. The accent is not a requirement of living here.
