Venom was one of the most iconic and longest Spidey stories to unfold in the comics...it deserved a proper treatment. Preferably one longer than a single movie...but, aside from that, at least one that properly built up the symbiotic character instead of simply using it as a plot device.
I read that Sony forced Sam Raimi into doing that whole Venom storyline in one movie, which is why it is so shoehorned in. Even then the movie is just ridiculously stupid thanks to "evil" Peter. It's only watchable as an unintentional comedy.

That doesn't surprise me in the least...

Just like they shoehorned in Dark Pheonix in Xmen...
Blame Brett Ratner. Despite all his current issues Bryan Singer is a much more competent director who has some creative vision. Brett is who you hire if you just want your movie to be mostly people getting punched and some explosions with as little plot in between as possible.

First they decorated the coffee cups.. and now they decorate the sushis.. amazing o_O

Maybe a great perspective, great photo but maybe a great way to get struck by lightening.

At least the photographer is in the bottom, and not the top.. the lightning will hit the closest thing first :P

We had the following guests for a BBQ yesterday: some friends (who just returned from taking their 2 year old on her first Disney trip), my parents (bona fide Disney addicts) and my mother in law (doesn't like theme parks). When the friends asked when we were going back, hubby responded, "That depends - who wants to go this November?". I came clean on booking dining. People seem to want to go - who am I to deny them a trip?!
You sure suffer a lot.. I mean.. dragged to Disney... how painful ;)

I'm sure the Sageteers would accept an all-expenses-paid trip.
I would. so.. DUDE WHERE IS MY TRIP?

:hilarious:
Better Spiderman: Andrew Garfield
Better Spiderman movies: Spiderman 1 and 2

I liked the first amazing a lot, completely hated the second..

What I liked specially of Amazing is: they got the Spidey's banther and trash talk well.

Spiderman 3 was a disaster that reminded me of BATMAN AND ROBIN with George clooney and Arnie.
