When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I suppose she could have a UTI, but her inability to hold it all night has increased significantly in the past two years. She is a senior (almost 12 years old), small breed (less than 7 lbs) dog.Could the Pup have a urinary track infection?
(psst. you can take a disposable aluminum tin and slip it under the Pup when they are 'going', don't need a lot but it needs to be pretty fresh. Transfer it into a small disposable plastic container/lid and take right to vet. They can place a special piece of tissue paper in it and tell almost immediately, no need to take Pup in. To do this with Pup present they generally have to crate them until they 'go.' That can be hours to a day and costly.)
The last time I mentioned to the vet that she was getting up during the night, he looked at me at said, "Well, don't you?" I think he called me old.
