Okay POR experts, where specifically do I want to stay?

We will have a rental car, so access to the bus stop is no big deal.
We seldom eat at the resort.
Assume four adults: Hubby and me, SIL and her 21 year old daughter.

Where and why? Pics too, if you have them.
Here is a resort map:

I would suggest any of the buildings in green that are close to the parking lots if you are going to be driving and not eating on site. Just ask for not facing the lots. Ol' Man Island is the main pool and the walk is rather pleasant from anywhere you wind up staying. I prefer the quiet pools in the Bayou area though.

(Folded up that is a bench, the drawers are on the bottom.)

I really like the wood paneling in the shower for some reason.

Sorry for the delay in pictures @JenniferS. I got distracted by food. But they're on their way now!

Also, just to note, the picture @acishere posted of the mansion room with the blue bedspread (2nd of the mansion rooms) is not up-to-date. They took the bedspreads off in favor of the runners like in the picture above.

Yeah I couldn't find a current one with a shot of the dresser. The Bayou room is prior to the runners as well. The picture of the rooms with runners instead of blankets was censored on here for some reason.

Just to note, we did not have the average mansion room. Ours had extra room because the door was not on a slanted wall. I'll try to find some pictures of other rooms we've had with the door on a slanted wall. Also I apologize for some poor photo quality; as you may remember I had my camera settings on lower quality on this past trip.

Thank you very much.

That's a teeny, tiny t.v. - looks smaller than POP, although I doubt it is.

Have all the POR rooms been refurbed?
I know when we were booked there in Nov/11, they were just starting.

(As you may recall, that trip was cancelled, as my mom died suddenly and unexpectedly the week before.)

Yes, all rooms have been refurbed. In March there was some external work going on in a very small section, but it looked very minor. Probably nothing to even report.

I agree with @PUSH, the buildings for the most part form a big plump U around the long main building, there are several bridges from the Mansions and the Bayous on the other side have some that are closer to the main building but it just isn't that big of a deal to me anyhow. My least favorite building is the last mansion that is closest to the FQ, it is the farthest walk but the bridge pretty much takes you to the corner where the arcade is, we would cut through the arcade, lobby, past the store, past the lounge, past Boatwright to get to the quick service when it was HOT or raining.

Dang I love this place.

Epcot Flower Power Concert:
Alan Parsons Live Project (American Pavilion Outdoor Theater—Sunday)

New to the festival in 2014, Alan and his band put on a great show. The band had really good energy on stage, and they played a number of his hits, including "Eye in the Sky". (For those not that familiar with A. P., he's from the UK, and was at his musical peak from the mid-70s -1990 or so. He still has an active concert schedule. In addition to being a musician, he's also done audio engineering and production; some of his highlights included the Beatles' Abbey Road album, and Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. )

While I was waiting for the theater to open for the 6:45 p.m. show, a couple of roadies (for a different band) told me they had enjoyed the earlier show, and wanted to check out the amplifier equipment on stage. I mentioned to these guys that my DH used to be a roadie (years ago) for some local, as well as some famous, bands (including The J. Geils Band). So, I figured that after the show, I could walk up to the stage and write down some notes about the equipment, and I could share this with DH after my vacation.

When the concert was over, we walked up to the stage. They had some nice Hughes & Kettner amps; we discussed whether these were solid state or tube—I voted, definitely tube. Then, one of the roadies pointed out a red & while stomp box (said it looked like the one Eddie Van Halen uses). But, all of a sudden, he decides to jump up on stage to take a closer look. OMG, I absolutely froze—I knew security would come, and I was afraid we'd all get thrown out of the park.

Instead, one of the stage crew immediately came out and asked what we were doing. Somehow, I managed to gently diffuse the situation by telling him that I was only there to write down equipment notes for DH, who could not attend their wonderful concert. (You know . . . it's all in your approach . . . ). He relaxed and became very friendly, and told me that the Hughes and Kettner amp, was a 6-channel, tube amp (with EL34's; or 6CA7's). He said sometimes they use a smaller box, but he really liked this particular set-up. We had a pleasant conversation with him, and we thanked him for his time.

Wow how cool is that! A memory that will last.
