My neighbors across the street probably would. They're Indian. Not sure if it's eastern or western or eastwestern.I just got the wedding invitation for my niece and they are having an East Indian wedding and have invited family to dress in East Indian wardrobe.I've spent most of the morning trying to research this. Sooo many beautiful oufits I've seen online but no where close to buy them. I guess I'm gonna have to get crafty. Anybody have any experience with East Indian stuff?
Her future inlaws are from India but he was born in Toledo. She's from Kokomo, IN. They met at Purdue, where they are going to school. It'll be different. It's funny about themed weddings in our family. I had a full renaissance faire themed wedding, a sister (the historian) had a Civil War themed wedding and a sister had a cowboy western themed wedding.Ht up your local thrift store before embarking on any sewing projects...you may get luckyotherwise, fabric stores have beautiful patterned fabrics for a pretty wrap.
That's an awesome idea for a wedding...are either Indian, or do they just like the culture?

The graduation went well. The "meal" that they told us we'd be getting was actually just more like appetizer type stuff. That was just for the doctorates, and then a little bit after that was the graduation for the entire college (bachelors, masters, doctorates). This one guy's speech took forever! He kept talking about Harry Truman, Vietnam, Martin Luther King Jr, blah blah blah. My aunt (one of them, there were two there along with my dad and brother) said she thought he was going to get into the benefits of Obamacare. He kept saying "and finally..." or "lastly..." then kept going and going. His speech took 30 minutes. People were falling asleep. Because of him the programs took 45 minutes longer than expected. But aside from him it was a nice ceremony.
She said she couldn't have had a better graduation weekend. But then I said she could have if they would have announced at the end, "and by the way... there's no need for you to pay for this."Glad to hear all went (mostly) well! Hope your mom had a GREAT day!
